He’s had some decent moments for us, but hasn’t had a run in the team in his actual position. If we play him where he’s best and give him some game time he’ll do well. I don’t think he is either lazy or disinterested but think this has become over-hyped by people on here personally. Likely to be an unpopular opinion, but that’s how I see Jevani.

Jevani has cost even more money when you think of that miss at Norwich

I wonder if Ellis will become available from Stoke. He only came on late in the game on Saturday, even though they were losing. He had struggled since returning from injury last season and the championship might be a step too fast for him.
I know we were previously linked with him, before he signed for Stoke. A loan, with a view to a permanent could be a good move for both clubs.
I think we are more likely to sign a young player on loan, but he could be one player with experience that could become available.

Dan Nlundulu is down the pecking order at Bolton. Not sure he's the right option but with his goal return, or lack of, I could imagine us doing it 😂

Personally, I'd quite like Stephen Humphrys.
Not exactly prolific or a natural out and out striker, but capable of making things happen, scoring goals out of nothing, and creating opportunities for others.
Still only 26, so a good age, and therefore has the potential to earn us a few £'s in a year or two.
I'm not against loans, but we already have 4, and with the exception of Griffiths, none look good enough to hold down a place in the starting 11 at the moment.

Maybe the numbers tell us it’s not the personnel….and it’s maybe the tactics?

We definitely need one more
We can’t pin all our hopes on Promise, he’s started well enough but he needs competition.
Martin looks like he needs another month to get up to speed, and he won’t play 90 very often
Ruel I don’t see as a No 9, more a wide option in a front 3
Let’s hope we don’t fall short again in this position, it’s happened far too often in the last few campaigns

I don’t think we are spending 500k on a ‘number 9’ and then signing another striker. if this truly is our front two this season then my pre season prediction of 15th seems a tad optimistic, lessons not learned from last august a team chock full of midfielders and defenders and players bought in on the striker ticket with a prospect of maybe reaching double figures after 46 games. We are light years away from the top 6 I just hope there are a few really poor teams (Shrewsbury springs to mind for one) in this league otherwise we might be sucked into a relegation battle before the next window opens in January

Out of that list Ladapo would be top of the list for me knows where the net proper poacher Humphrys would be worth a punt as well

George Friend told me at the Cardiff game that they were hoping to sign another striker before the transfer deadline. Taylor has said the same as well. You never know who will become available during the last week of the window. Other clubs will sign players, making their strikers available. Martin's injury might force the issue further, depending on how long he's out for.

Taylor has said for weeks we need another striker the more important question is he be another Lino/Antony to just act as back up, or a guaranteed starter like Omochere or Hutchinson, or in typical Rovers style will we totally miss out and then be looking to sign an out of contract player once the window has closed.

Sign an out of contract player when the window has shut! It’s the Rovers way!😂🤣

I mean that would be one thing to complain about, but the last one we signed like that scored 16 goals last season
