6ft 4in Alassana Jatta looks a real handful Very good call this my friend.... Tall, pacey, knows where the goal is .... Good age too. Hopefully he is on our 'list' - two others in discussion but wages are high.

Assuming we play some sort of variation of 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 what else do we need up top?
Either a fast strong number 9 and some more creativity in the No10 role
Or an addition like Promise Omochere to add to Hutchinson, Ruel Sotiriou, Sinclair and Thomas with a poacher type striker (Will Evans?!) to compete with Chris martin up top
Either way, can see our forward line be more fluid and with more pace than last season. Hopefully lots more goals too!

Greenslade with a 2nd half brace against melksham tonight. This is the kind of young talent we should be hoovering up from non league. We could develop and sell on for a profit.

Went along last night and Greenslade looked very sharp, Very Quick and Very Strong. Certainly made an impression with all there! Cant believe Taylor let him go for free. They had a few decent players on show. Even Tisdales boy played and Paul was there but Max his son has some way to go if he is going to cut it as a footballer!

Sometimes, letting someone go is the best for everyone. I can only think a new start for Harvey was the best opportunity for him. He will be playing two divisions below us, let's keep an eye out for his progress. I wish him all the best and hopes he goes on to make a good career out of football.

Probably best for the player but maybe not so much for the club, after all the academy do for some of these youngsters we could do more as a club to try and get a fee for them. Looks Like Luca maybe departing us again from years in the academy as a club we end up with nothing. Who knows if Harvey or Luca and the likes of Lawrence, Shaw, Dewsbury and White will go on to have Careers its really upto them and their ability i just think we could do to market these players if only for a nominal fee to hep fund more Academy staff and future players.

Mr Taylor has certainly been busy with the signings and we all have to hope they're a roaring success and we start well, as it's his team now.
Still concerned by the lack of striking options though, so any of you ladies and gents that have any insight...any sign of incoming foal scorers?
Edit: This should say goal scorers. Am not interested in any of you perverts who have sex with horses. (Where is Marshy??) 🐴🏴☠️

That is an interesting perspective. You never know, we might have got something from Yeovile, there are some rules and regulations in place around this. We got stung by Gillingham for Hanlan, there is talk about compensation being available for Hoole if we offered him a contract on the same or better terms as his previous contract. For Greenslade, the option would be to take a risk and offer him a contract then send him out on loan to Yeovile. Then we have the risk that if he gets injured, we would have to pay for him. Someone has weighed up the risk/reward profile for this and decided it was too risky. Maybe we have let one slip through our fingers, we will know in a couple of years.

Will Lankshear is a good striker that Tottenham are reportedly prepared to loan out.

After reading that Chris Martin came off early last night & requires a scan , coupled with new signing Ruel Sotiriou facing a race to be fit for the new season because of a torn calf, we really need to step up & get a new striker through the door.

It's Mr Taylor's team now, so there can be no excuses if we don't have strikers (plural) by the beginning of the season. It's all apparently under control though.(Whether that's for the promotion push from League 2 in 25/26 is not yet clear). UTFG etc 🏴☠️

We can’t afford to get off to a slow start in the league but that is what will happen if we don’t get a number nine in and settled very quickly.

Josh Coburn could be worth another punt - not yet holding down a regular place at Middlesbrough & particularly with George Friend connections.

Last night our centre halves didn’t even break into a sweat, no danger from what Yeovil had. Shaw had better players around him and looked full of running and more dangerous to their defence. When the proper season starts I’m sure Harvey will be a bigger threat to defences and may score goals. It’s just a shame he was never given a chance, a proper chance, with us. UTG!
