Way over the top in money .... Chatting earlier to a pal close to the Club he intimated that is the total deal value not simply cash - maybe other add ons etc...Is someone also going to Fleetwood maybe? Anthony Evans £450k seems like a bargain now. Don’t agree , think this is an excellent signing . |

The fee may be a bit high but not unusual to have to pay a premium for attackers under contract to prise them away from their clubs. On the flip side, we've hoovered up a few further back on free contracts or minimal fees.

They rather see the negative in everything! Personally cant wait to see him at the Mem. Pace and power has been needed for a long time. |

Saw Andy Tillson at Twerton for our friendly last Saturday & I thought it’s hard to believe he’s still our record fee signing, well at long last he may lose that honour. Yes, it’s always said that Andy T is our record signing, still. I thought that last January when we signed Conteh that it was said we’d broken the record. I’ve no idea but I wonder if, whatever we pay for this striker, AT will always be our record signing. It seems to fit the Gaschat idea that we’ve no money and we all kind of like the idea that our rcordord signing for any club is the oldest lasting record for any of the established EFL clubs. UTG! |

It’s ok when we pay nominal fees or sign players who have run down their contracts elsewhere, when it happens the other way around all hell breaks loose on here!! |

So long as there’s still another more natural #9 on the way, I’d be very happy with this addition.
Has so many of the physical attributes that we were sorely lacking in our attack last season. He may not be a natural finisher but he’ll be a nightmare to defend on his day and will create space for others in the team with his size and speed.
And loads of room for him to develop at 23 too. Get him in.

I don't really know enough about him tbh. Generally though I don't like signing players from relegated clubs, not many of them have come in and pushed us onwards/upwards, usually the opposite.
£500k seems a hell of a lot of money for a striker who scored 6 goals in L1 too. Considering Evans went for £450k, I cant help but feel we've not been overly clever here.
Still, I guess we'll find out on the pitch soon enough.
