That is a shame as he is pretty good midfielder it’s just he was unlucky with injuries

Feel a little let down by this. We stood by him for two years.

Averages 12 matches a season in 6 years as a senior. Good news.

Heart - Bit of a liberty imo after the club stood by him through his rehab,
Head - Football is a short career so he must go where he can get maximum financial security

Absolutely no surprise - Pay his wages for two years until he is fit and he has cleared his locker six weeks ago- How many players have had long term free cash from us over the years - Three / Four?
I am being harsh as I know what its like to work away from home and it can be very tough ....
Shame as his last few games for us were excellent...
More set to leave I am sure.

Might be a blessing in disguise. Knowing our luck, if Rossiter stayed, he would have broken down again after a few matches.

No surprise for me. Long thought Sincs will sign his extension, Hoole a maybe, but didn’t think Rossiter would stay put.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see Evans and Connolly follow.
Scexit.

I think the only other possible departure will be Evans. Rossiter would have been on good wages and he was never fit. Bring in another pair of young legs Grant Ward can easily fill that role, but again we are hoping he can last more than 2 or 3 games before he hobbles off! Really hoping young Luke can re-discover some form, be like a new signing, likewise Brown. But I won’t hold my breath on that. UTG

Wonder if the terms of the contract we offered had a low basic salary with add-ons for actual appearances (like many suggested)? If that was the case you could totally appreciate him seeing what else was out there and going for a bit more security, if available.

Considering how long he was out injured and how much work the club put in to get him fit, it seems like a bit of a kick in the teeth he's turned down a new deal.
Good player but with an awful injury record, so I'm not that bothered.

With him and Finley gone, that’s a lot of experience that’s missing.
Might need to target an old head in there to guide the young guns!

I presume those slagging off JR know the wages and length of contract he was offered?
I’ve no problem if he’s made a decision that is best for him and his family. Football is a short career and his will undoubtedly be shorter than most. Football clubs sign players for a fixed period, injuries and paying players whilst they are injured is part and parcel. We signed him knowing he had a history of injury.
I hope he stays injury free for a while wherever he ends up.

There is no loyalty in football.Liked him as a player but unfortunately still one hell of a risk at any price other than pay as you play.

Fantastic footballer, always wanting the ball, touch of aggression and very good at picking out a forward pass, could see why both Liverpool and Glasgow Rangers would have signed him, wish the fella well, shame he probably wont be wearing the quarters again.
