We can't afford to pay injury prone players good wages. We had too many senior players out injured last season.
As good as a player he might be.value for money we didn't get.

Unfortunately for him he is a crock. Not all bodies can take the rigours of professional sport regardless of talent. We’ve had too many players too good to be here if they were fit. More fool any team taking a punt and just hoping things will change. Shame though. Maybe we were right in offering him a contract that maybe had a pay per play element and he wasn't happy with that? |

Players cant help injuries and that is one of the risks you take signing older experienced players. Hardly a wages stealer though.

Tbh- some of our fans (more so on twitter) are embarrassing regarding Rossiter.
He's a scouse lad looking for a move closer to home. He had some bad injuries giving his career everything. I want nothing but good for the bloke.
Incredibly odd toxity that a few seem glad he's not nailed down a contract. He's not a gas legend, but he's not a gas prat. Good luck to the lad.

Unfortunately for him and us over the last two years the strength of his body didn’t match the talent he had. I wish him well and hope he can get himself sorted with a club. No it’s not needless, it’s my opinion, if you disagree fair enough, but the waster stole his wage last year and was pretty much useless. I’m sure that I read somewhere that we obtained more points when Wilson was in the side, than when he wasn’t. If that’s in your opinion useless long may it continue! |

Look, he’ll regret that reaction but footballers are human beings who make mistakes when provoked / under pressure. Whenever I’ve seen him play he’s been far from the liability that some on here have said he is. |

I agree with 2nd May 1990 certainly was not awful in most of the games he played and we looked better when he played than when he didnt. Therer is nothing worse for a player than to be abused by your own fans when all you have done is probably make a mistake and there were plenty of those last season and certainly was not restricted to a few players.
Lets get behind all our players this season.

We will have to disagree on that one Topper gas as someone else said we gained more points when he was in the side than when he wasnt. A player does not have to be MOTM to do a reasonable job. Quite often a 7 out of 10 every week is better. I am not stupid enough to say Wilson was 7 out of 10 every week but he certainly was not poor all season.
Anyway ALL players left at the club should have a clean sheet this season and see who takes the chance .
