If he signs for Stockport, it will be interesting to see the kind of reception he gets. There is part of me that thinks he deserves a crunching tackle from one of our players to make up for the last couple of years taking our money and not adding value to our season. Then there is a part of me that says, he aint worth it. We knew the injury risks when we signed him. The bloke didn't get injured on purpose, so that he could put his feet up and take a wage. No animosity from me if he comes to the Mem. Exactly. He’s a bloody good player and from many sources, a great influence on the dressing room. You’re a long time retired and I can guarantee that he will have been gutted and embarrassed to have had so much time on the sidelines at the Gas. That will be the reason he hasn’t posted a big fairwell message. He’ll feel that he’s not deserving of one. I hope for his sake that he can get a couple of seasons unimpeded. If he’s trialling at Stockport that tells you all you need to know about the type of contract we will have offered him.

A contract is like gold dust for an injury prone player. If we’d offered him anything half decent in terms of security I think he’d have bitten our hands off, especially given that he clearly has left without having anywhere lined up to go to, hence him appearing as a triallist.

Why would we offer an injury prone player security and so take all the risks of him picking up another long term injury? You have to sense Stockport aren't convinced he's now fully fit, as otherwise they wouldn't be putting him through a trial.

If Rossiter signs for Stockport, wouldn't be surprised if he plays an intregal part in their playoff push.

Trialing at Shrewsbury today. Getting further and further south each time. Do you think he regrets not signing a new contract with us now?

It's impossible to answer that without knowing what we offered him and what is relationship was like with MT? Well Shrewsbury are pretty skint and MT did play him as soon as he was fit.. Apparently he ran the show for them against Derby today. Trouble is you just know another long injury lay off isn't far away for him

Unfortunately for him he is a crock. Not all bodies can take the rigours of professional sport regardless of talent. We’ve had too many players too good to be here if they were fit. More fool any team taking a punt and just hoping things will change. Shame though.
