Anyone in the south stand - any improvements to the concourse / facilities yet? I sat in it for the first time, was impressed with the view although the sun was an issue from the front seats. As regards any concourse improvements, I doubt it! Toilets just a portaloo and nowhere enough provision for drinks at half time. I work in catering, and it’s really not rocket science to think ahead and have drinks ready for sale. Even a separate stall only selling water/soft drinks would have yielded a tidy profit. I was hoping to get my young lad a drink but the queue went round the block and up into the west terrace! Madness. And this was with the stand only, what, just over half full? Club really need to look much more closely at catering this season, they are missing a trick and serious cash by being so useless!! UTG and review the price structure.... sausage roll + 500ml drink @ £7.50 a pop.... bit over the top me thinks

It’s embarrassing that we finished that stand months ago and they haven’t got anything inside it yet. It’s No wonder others call us tinpot.

It’s just amazing that no one at the club has the insight to realise that well organised catering and drinks can make you some serious profit! I gave up yesterday because it would have taken me 20 minutes or so to get a water. If you are reading this forum as the new owners or anyone connected to the club, get this sorted! It’s really not that difficult. UTG

I thought Saturdays performance looked very much like a new group of players working each other out, and to be honest nothing else was expected.
We put some good moves together, other times players didn't make the run the passer was expecting.
All in all, was a decent, it would be unfair to pick out bad/underperforming players. However was really quite impressed with Promise Omochere, looked strong, had some pace, made lovely turn in first half having had back to goal.
We are obviously going to have some tougher opponents than Northampton, hopefully we can step up a gear again next weekend.

Thanks very much for posting the video. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Looked like a very one-sided game to me!

I take it back. And so should Brady.
The officials got it right, definitely a corner - more gamesmanship antics from Northampton, but some of us weren't 100% sure.
A well crafted goal...well done LT for delivery.

Of course you can’t tell much from the first game of the season but I think my biggest takeaway from that performance is that we have very capable centre backs. I’m sure we’ll see the inevitable dip in form, the occasional shinned own goal, a poor pass putting us under pressure and a poor choice of option or two but we got a look at four of our defensive resources in the heat of action that mattered and they stood the initial test.
Moore, has an engine and appears to anticipate where the danger is coming from. Mola has the heart of a lion, battled for everything and won most. Wilson, they say form is temporary and class is permanent, yes we all suffered with him when last season tailed off but he showed his commanding best including better distribution and intelligent decision making choosing when to run, pass or clear his lines, hopefully we’ll see much more of that this campaign. Forbes cameo promised much he seemed quick and alert and very comfortable on the ball. All this and my favourite defender, Connor Taylor was able to grab some extra recuperation time and didn’t have to test his recently healed knee.
As far as I’m concerned whatever three is selected will be alright by me and mild disappointment in sympathy for the other two if they are fit but destined for the bench.

Aren't you getting a bit carried away given we played one of this season's relegation candidates who were apparently weakened by a sickness bug and had their star striker, Tom Eves, missing? Let's see how well they do in the next 3 away games, as that's where we really struggled last season.

No I’m not …I was judging how our players played in their first competitive match and I said you can’t tell much from it however I know what I saw. In my opinion we don’t have lily livered or technically inept centre backs like Ehmer, Harries, Baldwin & co. Knowing your usual posts I should just ignore you but I’m fed up with continual white noise from the Topper channel.

A well crafted goal...well done LT for delivery. I could see it was a corner watching the stream on a large tv screen and this close quarters video clearly shows the ball deflecting off their man for a corner. The linesman the closest to it pointed to the corner immediately. What the very bitter man Brady saw is clearly what he wanted to see and I would be interested to see the evidence he claims, clearly showing it’s a corner.
