This feels like a great use case for AI… finally!

I took on most of the Twitter trolls yesterday who mostly tried to justify their reasons for singing it. Facebook Rovers group has also been an absolute delight to read but there are only so many ignorant twats I can take on with my spare time in the day.

Mostly the reasons that were given for singing the chant were "where does it mention his race in the chant", "the reason people go to football is to blow off steam", "how do you know promise has actually complained" and the obligatory "just the woke lot who are offended at everything".

Well, I'm not black, so I'm not offended directly. However my sister has married an absolute gem of a Jamaican fellow and his family are my family so I do have some skin in the game because I'm sad to say I've witnessed him being racially abused, profiled and stereotyped in the 15+ years I've known him.

So why has a song about a black guy with an alleged big penis caused so much offence?

Well this is an interesting little piece of information which explains why and I thought I'd put it here. I'm not saying or trying to educate anyone, because when I posted the information on X I was accused of being patronising, when all I was trying to do was hopefully make a few understand and empathise.

Those defending the song will not read that. Will not change their minds. They will continue and attack anyone who dares to suggest that it's wrong.

These are f**k.wits. They declare 'Be kind' when it suits them but have the attitude that if someone is upset about the things they say or the things they do, it's the person/people offended that are in the wrong.

I say let them light fireworks out of their arses and let Nature's natural selection process take over.

As I posed on X to multiple people "racism isn't woke". The woke term has been hijacked, rebadged and reformed to mean something completely different to what it once was and no longer fits the profile of out and out racism in the single degree.

Racism is racism, whether you are throwing the N or C word around or making stereotypical implications or connotations. It really is that simple. You can't be a little bit racist, or say something a little bit racist, it's actually racist or it isn't.
