What i do agree with here is that I need to see him play first before I make comment about his ability. Within 15 minutes of watching Ryan loft on his debut I couldn't believe how poor a footballer he was at all the basics and I was proved right, so I shall reserve judgement until I've seen gatlin in the quarters. I'm just extremely underwhelmed on paper with the signing and think it's dangerous to sign someone unproven at scoring goals at this level when we are struggling to score at the minute at all. Especially when our top scorer is out and realistically won't be fully fit until January at the earliest. But prove me wrong gatlin and bag us the 3 points tomorrow!!! That's the spirt. Give him 15 mins to make your mind up. Good to see you won't be rushing to judge the young lad. Where did I say I'd give the new lad 15 minutes? I said within 15 minutes I could tell Ryan loft was nowhere near good enough to be a professional footballer. Has nothing to do with this new lad as I havnt seen him yet so David pipe down. |

Nothing has happened today to surprise me. Underwhelmed certainly. Lack of goals and overall pace will mean a desperate fight against relegation on the cards.Heart says 16th but head says 21st. Even without losing Martin we were desperate for someone who knows where the net is. If we get relegated on spending close to £1.2 mil and 16 signings. Then the status quo on this occasion can't be blamed. That's not to mention the big fees for buying up players contracts like Lindsay. Is that really the case though as how many of us would have given MT £1.2m to spend this summer? |

Jesus. Some bloke I've never heard off from a club that are around our size, we normally beat every time we play and were in our league last year (and for most of their history).
Not usually my style and happy to give everyone a chance but this could well be the most underwhelming transfer deadline day signing in our history, surely?
Anyone want to advance on that?? Struggling to think of anyone more underwhelming.

Not sure where the Loft comparisons are coming from, he looks more of an Akinde type of CF, who also did well at Brentford, a striker who can actually come on for 20 mins or so and given the opposing CB's something to think about with his pace/strength is something we've been missing for years, I can't understand why our Academy has never produced any similar strikers for years. x.com/Vanarama/status/1775795943444500713 |

Stockley strung us along and then Starnes begged Nathan Jones for Danny Hylton who didn't fancy a relelgation scrap. |

Good luck to the lad, I'll get behind him but honestly how can you expect two inexperienced strikers with less than a dozen career goals between them to lead your line in league one? We struggled for goals last season and now we are weaker, maybe except relegation and build back better? Have we not learnt from past experiences?
