JCH was 24 when he signed for us with a record of 24 goals from 160 league appearances.
He equalled those 24 goals in just 42 games for us.

Jesus. Some bloke I've never heard off from a club that are around our size, we normally beat every time we play and were in our league last year (and for most of their history). Not usually my style and happy to give everyone a chance but this could well be the most underwhelming transfer deadline day signing in our history, surely? Anyone want to advance on that?? Struggling to think of anyone more underwhelming. Eliot Anderson was extremely underwhelming… oops! Ridiculous comparison. Elliott was already very highly thought of and from a top Premiership club, not a complete unknown from a small Championship club, who up to last season were losing to us in the league. |

This signing fits well.
I think fans were worried given the noises coming from the club suggested we'd only sign one outfield player. I didn't feel we needed a number 9 style forward as much as inside forward/ ball carrier. So was a bit worried we'd prioritised incorrectly.
However the inside forward came later... This bloke looks to be a real worker. Oxford fans report that Manning used him for late cameos to close out games. That's some trust shown in a young player.

When I find out we had signed Eliot Anderson I immediately placed £250 on us to finish in the playoffs, also placed a similar amount on us to go up automatically once we'd got into the top 7 so he won me about £2,000 in total 👍 |
