So we have Conte out from the first team, plus Forbes who doesnt make the bench right now. Anyone know if Barnsley are missing any due to call ups? Nothing on their official site. I think Hutch comes in for Conte with Garrett dropping deeper into the 6 role. But could also be McCormick. Other than that, dont see any other changes being made, except Forde on the bench to come on and win it! Should be a good game and a real test for the defence and keeper. Where’s the poll ? 😮 |

KC will be a big miss and I am not sure we have anyone who has his bite other than Taylor - Moore but no way MT changes the back three.
Garrett looked good in spells on Saturday so confident he starts again - Hard to choose between McCormick and Hutchison albeit McCormick was not great when he came on, he failed to press and just seem to lollop around the pitch. Hutch is not yet up to speed in L1 and needs to get there asap.
Will be a very tough game - but we do now have dangerous options all over the pitch.
Absolutely IMPERATIVE we take our chances !!

Sat and I don’t think Barnsley are going to be all that this season.

Why dont they cancel all fixtures for the international break, makes sense with so many fixtures postponed, not to mention making it fairer for clubs having to play despite losing 1-2 players

Just the one change for me - Hutchinson in for Conteh and drop Ward a bit deeper again. Conteh will be a big miss but I am confident we can get a point up there, especially as Northampton also have already this season.

How long is Jamie Lindsay out? Any chance he'll be available?
Would be the obvious replacement for KC.
If not, it's a tough call between Hutchinson anmd McCormick. Neither have really impressed in matches so far, and it would mean dropping Ward deeper again where he's less effective.

I’m happy to play the game and rest the legs later on in the season. Plus be much harder to get to for a Tuesday night. |

Barnsley starting 11 looks very good. Humphreys, Cosgrove, Keillor Dunn, hourihane, Phillips & O’Connell etc. but if we can hold them off for long enough, I reckon our overall squad depth could really be an advantage and we could really take the game to the in the last 20/30 mins of the game if still tight. |

Given we've two players missing due to call ups, and most other L1 clubs even more, I'm surprised Barnsley seemingly don't have any players called up.
It looks like Jed Ward hasn't made it to the U21's squad but they do already have 3 decent goalies.
