Judging by selections it seems like Ward has improved a lot by not playing 👍

If Taylor is to be the man then this is a game he really needs to be getting something from. Another hammering and a loss at home to Wycombe could well be the end for him. I hate losing as many do but if we are to loose we have to at least put up a performance and look like we have a game plan. Over to you Taylor! 3-1 posh for me. The home game against Wycombe last season was a right shocker.

My only agenda is to enjoy watching Rovers play and seeing us win, and also draw, the odd game, that's been fairly rare since MT was appointed. We've a strange fan base if that's an issue for some and they enjoy seeing us perform badly and lose games. You seem to be some sort of denial about how poorly we're performing, claiming you didn't hear the half time booing everybody else heard, which by the way didn't involve me, before you accuse me of booing. Let's see what Saturday brings as I wouldn't be surprised if Hunt's not at least on the bench, if he is perhaps you'll accept he is match fit. I wasn't the only person that didn't hear it. Another poster on the East Terrace said they didn't hear it. I heard an embarrassing boo at the end. Not that the sentiment was embarrassing, the execution was embarrassing.

Barton’s man management was poor and he certainly made some very strange substitutions at times. Barton had more of a character than Taylor which isn’t all nice given we are talking about a marmite character. He turned it around when it seemed impossible for our promotion season. Taylor I have heard from some behind the scenes is a very dry and dull person, his interviews bore me and at the moment his tactics are too. For a manager who said he wants to play attacking football it certainly isn’t looking that way at current. I stand by my prediction before the start of the season, he will be gone by December.

Don’t worry about the miserable gits , every club has them who relish a few defeats. It’s the same people every time moaning about managers and the board for yrs & yrs 🙄 Anyway onto the match …. A notoriously difficult ground to go to for us and they are a decent side . Any sort of result would be a bonus but more likely a loss. Saturday night will be fun on here if that happens ! I’m going for a draw 😃 I've been in out if the forum since a out 2018, the negativity seems to have doubled over that time.

If he does play and we're still poor then we may as well just give up!! No genuinely I don’t. I’m not just trying to be argumentative (honest 😜). He’s been really poor and I have no idea what he’s going to offer particularly in a midfield if it includes Lindsay and Conteh. Saturday (first half) we actually played some half decent combination play. We broke their press several times and got into good areas. The problem Saturday was once we’d done that it came to nothing and that was largely down to complete ineffectiveness of the front two. Possession stats mean nothing of course but it was no surprise to me that without Ward we had some very good possession. The challenge is how we convert that into chance creation and end product and how we find some cohesion between the attacking players. My own personal feeling is we won’t do that chopping and changing the players and unsettling the very type of players we’re moaning about not having or having and them not performing. We do have them and we need to play them and allow them to come up with the moments that matter. Creative players need time, trust, belief from themselves and their manager. They will undoubtably make mistakes and wrong decisions but within that they will create moments that win games. I worry that MT doesn’t place that trust in creative players and ends up creating situations where they doubt themselves and become indecisive and hesitant in what they do.

On Saturday we started off brightly but faded badly after 20 mins, at Barnsley we started off poorly it played OK for 70 mins, so on balance we seem to play better with Ward in the team.
The only creative CM player MT's dropped is Hutch and he wasn't any better before he was in & out of the team.

The only creative CM player MT's dropped is Hutch and he wasn't any better before he was in & out of the team. Hmm….not sure that’s true… Hutchinson was in the team, then not even coming off the bench, then suddenly starting, then hooked at half time… McCormick was very much on the outside pre season, then forced some appearances off the bench as a forward, before suddenly starting in CM….then he didn’t even get off the bench…. Kofi didn’t make squads, then appeared off the bench at 2-1 down and dying for a goal, and then didn’t even make the bench again!! What’s the odds of him being thrown in from the start Saturday! Garrett didn’t appear at all, then was shockingly bad v Tottenham, then suddenly starts two in a row and went from being hero to zero in a week! My bet is he’s bombed it Saturday! I’m not going to lie it comes across as a bloody shambles! We’ve literally not had the same midfield combo more than twice in a row yet it’s the most important part of the pitch and the one that needs the most understanding tactically of its components. I’m not sure what evidence there is to support us being better this season with Ward in the side.

As each game goes on it only highlights for me the shocking decision to let Evans go for such a low amount. I'd rather have him for a season and allow him to run down his contract. Huddersfield must be pis.sing themselves Even Finley would have improved this side

Huddersfield must be pis.sing themselves Even Finley would have improved this side We can only consider an offer that is made - if nobody was willing to offer more than Huddersfield’s final offer then it was a simple choice. The owners either cash in at what was proven the highest offer (we can’t get opposition CEO’s in a headlock and make them pay more) or force him to see out his contract. I guess it’s easy to say let him go for nothing in 12 months when it’s not your money. By the way according to at least one poster he was a scouse cancer that we needed to get rid of at any cost !! I enjoyed watching him while he was here and he will always be one of my favourite ever gas players. Class act.

Bloody hell Boro away is really reminding me what a tough start to the season we’ve been given.
Still, it’s always worth getting Boro, Barnsley, Stockport and Rotherham away all out of the way.

The players looked broken and drained of confidence in the second half last week and that might prove hard to rebuild. Might need a visit from a Sports Psychologist and Motivational Speaker !!!

Yeah it’s a fair point. Said it in the past when Norwich were in the prem and their opening 5 games were something like Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, City and Spurs. Felt like a setup because what chance do they have of staying up with those opening fixtures? I’d rather it be spread over a season of course, just trying to find the positive in it. Ironically Wigan is the really sucker punch in there, all the other results have been as expected for a midtable team. Hopefully that was a one off and people don’t over react on Saturday in a game most are expected to lose
