View AttachmentThink we'll all feel better when we beat Huddersfield.Currently called The John Smith's stadium but had a few nomenclatures in its life.Remember running the line at their old ground one wet Feb night and was met by their trainer ,Wayne Jones no less. Only been to this stadium once before.Their Disabled Facilities are top notch. Justva short train journey for me. Seem to remember there is a pub on route called the Gas Tavern (?). Don't think I've ever seen is win there tbh

And the reality is we are a long way off being a play off side/squad at current. It doesn’t take much to see that things aren’t great behind the scenes. Taylor, has quite clearly said he shall be dropping players that are not up to the standards. It’s still a 50/50 split within the fan base of pro Taylor or not but the boos at the end of the games that I have witnessed 3 times this season is pretty evident that time is not on Taylor’s side. ...the reality is we are four points (and a couple of other results going our way) off a play-off position in the current league table, and almost exactly where we normally find ourselves in the second week of October over the past ten seasons... The historical comparison is obviously nothing to do with Taylor, but why does our fanbase meltdown whenever we have a poor start to a season - because we start nearly every season poorly...

Why do I get the feeling some on here actually want us to lose at Huddersfield?

Why do I get the feeling some on here actually want us to lose at Huddersfield? They want the manager gone I expect. It's not tricky to deduce. This is the same vibe from when JB was managee-refuse to attend, jump on every word, analyse every defeat. It's the same now with MT so our fanbase(a portion of it) can never be completely satisfied. It normally self fulfills too..

You don’t know that. Our last two league results were decent and good performances. If we manage to get another two wins this month we could be mid table. Two wins back to back suggests MT is turning it round and should at least buy him some time. This season is a rebuilding season I don’t think many actually expected us to be challenging. The time to sack Taylor was after the Wycombe game. I’m far from convinced MT is the man to take us forward, but after two decent wins I’m prepared to give him a little longer. its not all his fault with the way we're being set up by the owners but he still can't get the best out of what seems to be a decent squad.. No guarantee we'll have a better manager next time till the clowns above realise it ain't working having a yes man in charge.

The funds have clearly been put in place to be competitive. If Taylor didn’t like what he was buying then why buy them? He wanted forde shaq as he has openly said yet hardly plays him. It falls on the manger when the team fails, whether that’s Taylor, Barton, garner or even Pep. No excuses, no finger pointing, Taylor decided to become a manager so needs to stand up and take ownership and work on improving.

Manager gets blame, sacked. New manager, not his players, squad changes. Manager gets the blame for lack of success, sacked.
And let's go round again, same for any club that is deemed unsuccessful.

Can't believe that some seem to actively want us to lose to hasten a change of manager.
Hope Mr T proves us all wrong, gets the lads motivated and organised and we beat Huddersfield.

I'd rather the manager picks the team and wins games rather than HAS and Abdul insist on playing players beacuse they want to shop window them for transfer fees.

I got a lot of flack for that then, but everyone has their breaking point and everyone wants what is best for the club even if what's best only comes about following losses in games.

He didn't know we had signed him until he came in the next day. He said that we looked at him earlier in the window. " On the actual process of signing Forde, Taylor revealed: "He was a name which has been there for a number of weeks, I have to be honest in relation to that, but he wasn't obtainable and his availability would have cost too much. Now, obviously as it's got towards the end, it's come down a little bit and then we were able to say, okay, that's a realistic financial outlay for us for where we see the potential outlay of the player." You can only assume the "we" MT refers to involves him or he would have said "the club" He also didn't sound too unhappy with the signing as he also said the following in the same interview: "I must admit, leaving on Thursday evening and coming in Friday morning, I generally thought our work was pretty much done," Taylor admitted after Saturday's 2-0 win over Cambridge United. "A pleasant surprise, I suppose, to see another addition and a player of such quality. He goes into that bracket of the younger ones that we want to develop and turn into an asset for this football club and whilst we're doing that, can he produce performances? "That was massive, absolutely massive," the Gas manager added on getting Forde in permanently as opposed to on loan. "That's testament to the board because they're willing to put the money there if they feel it will benefit us on the pitch and benefit the club for the bigger picture. "It's a great way of working. I don't counteract it in any way but the aspect of time and patience with the young players, and a lot of young players, is something that I talk about quite a lot and I hope the supporters understand that. "He's an exciting talent. Anyone who watched Leyton Orient last season, he can play outside as well as inside the pitch but pace and power. We like players of that profile because we want to run like we did today." Whilst Roadman & co are trying to paint a picture of MT not having any control over the summer recuritment MT gave no indications that was the case in any of his interviews in the summer.

Taking negative to a new level this 😂 Yeah it is . We’re in league 1 we’ve got a new stand and we’re 3 points off the play offs after 10 games and people are talking like it’s the worst time in our history. Things might not all be rosy and there may well be problems behind the scenes but I’ve been supporting Rovers for 40 years and we’ve always been struggling financially or had owners who didn’t know what they’re doing or on the brink of relegation from the football league or at times a combination of all three. Some people need to get a fuc€ing life, we’re a mid / lower league 1 sized club with a league 2 stadium so either put up and get your billions of pounds out to fund us or shut up and get behind the team. Most of the uproar is hear say brought about by needing to know the ins and outs of a cats arse about everything that’s going on at the club but 99.99% don’t actually know anything and it’s pretty pathetic. Also the last time we were actually up around the top 6 in league 1 the majority on here moaned like fuc€ and wanted the manager out. Then when he left they all hated him for leaving.

I’ve been following Rovers for many decades and the real joy has come from periods where it’s been tough but the fans got behind the team.
For too long we have been divided and that is showing on the terraces.
For me it’s simple.
True supporters turn up and support.
Managers, players, even us old farts move on, but the club stays.
MT is a human being and is the current incumbent of our club.
The players are human beings and respond better to encouragement. Like all of us.
Being a gashead means getting behind the boys, against all odds.

I don't understand why this thread was created either. We lost in a cup that nobody cares about enough to bother attending the games.
After last 2 league wins, things look ok for time being.

Not qualities we`ve seen much of, under this manager. Have the two league wins on the trot just papered over the cracks, or are they evidence that we are heading towards better performances? I hope it`s the latter, but not holding my breath.
