The club should promoting this game with lots more thought. Even with WSM fans and kids this could potentially be a good Gate. Promote this with kids in Weston Schools also..... there is so much the club could do to promote local football' for Bristol itself aswell as Somerset. Why not venture into Gloucestshire schools or something simular?

I'm assuming they believe there will be enough seats for ST holders in the east stand to find somewhere else to sit. East terrace has looked sparse in recent weeks anyway. Stadium must still hold 8-9k with the closure. Bit of an issue with east stand bar closure though. South stand facilities not up to potentially higher footfall.

If there isn't a half and half scarf for this game, I'm gonna lose my sh.it and call for the sacking of TG.

I'm at Weston today - they've just announced they've sold out their allocation.

I'd expect double the wsm home gate to be interested in this one. If managed correctly it could be a 7k+ crowd which for 1st round is good money for us. Never mind.

I'm at Weston today - they've just announced they've sold out their allocation. Wasn’t 1350 just an initial allocation?

Things all around the club need to change. I feel these new owners are dragging us back and not forward

The whole club is a mess, both on the pitch and off it. Instead of promoting what is a brilliant draw, rovers have managed to totally play down the importance to local football fans.

TBH, I was expecting the club to pull out all the stops, even with a one off souvenir programme.
If it is quid a kid then a programme with the team photo of both teams, features on both clubs biggest FA Cup games/runs, former players who have had special cup moments, etc would sell well I think.
Just think of all the WSM tourist places that could advertise to cover the printing costs. I know it is off season, but something like free entry to the pier with a copy of the programme before the FA Cup final is played etc.

Who's actually responsible for promoting the game, surely that's down to the marketing dept/TG's replacement not the owners?

Surely the main priority is getting fans to attend the game but Rovers seems to be just approaching it as just another FA Cup game.

Perhaps 20+ years ago.
