New kit out the 1st week in July, when there will also be the Sunday "open" evening.(Boycie)
Asked BB after when will the Q&A take place,he is going to speak to rest of BOD tomorrow, his idea(which I think could be a goer)is prehaps say 3 times a year have a curry/chinese night open to ALL fans, with manager, players,BOD attending, where Q&A could be held imformally. As far as I know the Q&A session for all fans planned for July(?)may/will still go ahead.
I do think the BOD realise the communication has to improve. have to wait and see of course.

"NH says OF had to shut due to libellous comments. Also says GasChat is the new place to be and better in many ways"
Just to confirm then that the Inadequate board views this forum as "safe". Perpetuating the division. Just like the old Of.
Well done, you must be so proud..

I think you'll find the curry will cost you £ 10 ! Are you going there to have a little light-hearted chat and fill your belly or is our club in the NON -LEAGUE and we are just going to carry on as normal with the same people steering the good ship pirate into some more rocks !!??

The board including the fans directors said they were collectively (along with the management team)to blame for our relegation.
They are actively looking for new investors and board members that not only have money but the skill sets that the board are currently lacking.
The boards main failure as they see it was to back the managers too much - they have learned from that and will not do that in future.
They will gladly look at alternatives to the forum but could not allow it to continue because of the stupid libelous comments on there.
They were very surprised at the suggestion of an outsider conducting the review as it was never a consideration (how would it work?)
The first they heard about the illegal activities regarding a certain player was after he left the club. If it had been the case he would have been sacked not had a payoff.
Mcgoo really did a good selling job on the board regarding Kenneth and what he would bring to the club.
NH stated he thought our problems started with Lennie Lawrence and the way he conducted contract negotiations he gave an example where LL said we could get a player for £1500 per week but told the player we would pay £3000 week, his agent then asked for £3500 knowing we would settle on £3000.
He thought Penny would have been a good manager for us and confirmed the players forced him out
Seriously guys what else did you expect them to say/do? Anyone who had a burning question/ point to make had the opportunity to do that face to face tonight (through the process provided) and will have the chance at the open forum (whenever that is)
Plenty seem quick to criticize every response or action but no one is actually stepping forward with any viable alternatives to what the board do - just offer more criticism
To be fair I thought they conducted themselves pretty well tonight (especially DC) although some responses were a bit wishy washy - but so were some of the questions.

Thanks for that Sean, it seems to conflict with the Twitter feed highlights coming through via different platforms. Good to know they have taken some blame and are hopefully taking steps to progress. I'm kind of glad to hear this - I knew that several questions would be dodged or fobbed off...therefore it was more about 'how' they were answered in the room than what the answers actually were. Question for you and anyone else who was there tonight. If those board members who were present were currently trying to buy the club (massive hypothetical as obviously they wouldn't know so much about the problems of the last few years) would you support them taking us over where we are now and think they could be successful over the next year/two/five years???

"The boards main failure as they see it was to back the managers too much - they have learned from that and will not do that in future" who selected the managers and who has appointed the current one ... and who will appoint DC's replacement ?

If you want to swallow the outright lies then that is your prerogative. Norburn went from being days away from fitness to being dismissed. The rubbish said about this is nonsense and just an outright fabrication. The stuff said about there being no Rovers without them is incredible as they are the ones who put us where we are. Nick Higgs is an unmitigated disaster who has "led" us to two relegations and out of the FL. The scapegoating of Ward and not taking responsibility for so much else is beyond me. Not admitting that Gow was a board appointment. Boy, I can't believe the lengths some will go to, to believe there is good in this board. I guess those that say " I'll support Rovers whatever league they are in " should be careful what they wish for. We had deflection, scapegoating, distraction and outright mistruth. This lot do not have the capacity to accept any responsibility and then act upon that to redress the situation. We are left we the promises of the magic beans that the UWE will supposedly bring. What a load of ball bags. The twitter feed made no mention of them taking collective responsibility. They just made excuse after excuse on why it was not their fault. Ward, strikers, injuries, ground etc. unbelievable hubris, arrogant and conceited bunch who made it clear they will do as they see fit.

Surely that's what you want? You pick a guy and you let him work. Surely you would want to back him. I don't understand?
