Ras - I didn't meant to imply that you'd doctored any of the SC Tweets! I was meaning people like me, who sometimes read stuff, and then misinterpret it a bit. Haha no worries! I did doctor one of them but that ended in disaster!

Question for you and anyone else who was there tonight. If those board members who were present were currently trying to buy the club (massive hypothetical as obviously they wouldn't know so much about the problems of the last few years) would you support them taking us over where we are now and think they could be successful over the next year/two/five years, based on what you heard from them at the meeting???Still hoping some people who were there can answer my question from last night...

Hi Dave, what answer are you hoping for? its so hypothetical its pointless?? They screwed up big time, they know it, we know it but they are the incumbents and unless someone can stump up the readies to buy them out that's how it will remain. Time to move on and either support the manager and his new team or find something else to do on a Saturday (or stump up the cash of course)

My question was, did the board members answer the questions in a way that, if they were brand new to the club you would support them as a 'new board'.
Yes it's hypothetical, and yes I was a bit drunk last night when I asked it. But I think as a question it's an interesting one. Whilst it's impossible to forget the history of this board at this club, if they were new investors with new money from this point in time, did they seem like they knew what the hell they were doing?

I was looking forward to it actually. Take away the past and the failures. Based solely on what happened ladt night, do you trust them to move forward. Its hypothetical yes because we have no choice, they are here to stay but would be a fair measure of how they performed.

The problem is, if it was a new board with no baggage the questions directed at them would be different and delivered to them in a positive way. The situation last night was that in the main they were being criticized and therefore the majority of their replies were defensive and deflective (save DC).
They did not overly impress if that is what you are after but as I said its because of the nature of the event.

It's i) expected because of the nature of the event and ii) expected because of the nature of the board. I'd welcome other views, but maybe 'impress' is the wrong word. Were they 'confident' in their answers? Did they seem in control (in front of what was an unhappy but basically friendly audience)?

They were sometimes on the back foot....
Watola was confident but he was dealing with facts and figures
Boycie was sympathetic to the crowd
BSS and Ken came across as very genuine and BSS with his media background delivered his answers/comments very well.
Nick Higgs was as you would expect Nick Higgs - no different to any other interview you would have seen from him but he really does care and is really hurting (probably more than most because of the financial cost to him)
If we were picking a board of directors from scratch and we put them in a room with 20 other business men without any prior knowledge of them I am sure they would have as much chance as anyone else.

Fair one.
Why BSS hasn't been employed to do the PR I just don't know. He would be perfect for it.

I remain encouraged by what DC is saying. Very encouraged actually. I just hope the environment at the club allows him to achieve his potential I agree. Making the most of this clubs potential is the key challenge. It's time to move on and look forward.

On and off the pitch we all deserve better.
