I welcome this as I'm sure ALL supporters do, but I would say this is 2 months later than it should have been ! Fingers crossed I might be one of the privileged 150 !! Bishopston, you are right - this is the worrying thing. people who went to the EGM also complained there was no chance to ask follow up questions so basically this is a form of censorship - filtering out all the unanswerable/uncomfortable questions. At the beginning of May on the OF forum I proposed a Question Time format where the board wouldn't know what the questions would be and after answering each question the floor would be open for those present to make a comment or ask a follow up question. I still think it would be great if we could excert some pressure on the club to insist on this format. It is not to catch them out but to allow US supporters to ask all the pertinent questions we would like to ask and give others that chance to respond to the club's answers. This I'm sure will be an item for discussion on Tuesday at The Wellie. Don't forget everyone we still need lots of answers and changes at the club from Top to Bottom !! Agree completely Mark but it's not going to happen; is it?

Dear Friends I regret I shall be unable to attend this meeting due to a family funeral on the same day and as I have recently come out of hospital, I am unable to drive myself. Nevertheless I do hope to come along to a meeting at a later date providing the aims are positive and to the benefit of Bristol Rovers FC. I look forward to learning the outcome. I have been striving for open meetings for Supporters - hence the recent Supporters Club EGM and Nick's recent pre-match Q and A's. As you will have seen the club have announced a Fans Forum which is open to all members (ticket in advance due to numbers) on 21st July. I do hope you will be able to attend this meeting. To me, the most important thing is open and frank dialogue (that is within the remit allowed) although some claim this is simple an excuse to not communicate which I agree should be and will be much better I hope from here on. We will continue to support our club through thick and thin and that is why so many people volunteer their services without thought of financial reward. The only reward we seek is a successful and thriving football club in which we can all share in its success. I hope with the changes due to be announced shortly, those days are on their way. I am delighted with the players Darrell has signed and those he has retained. I know more are on the way. Perhaps with work due to start on the new stadium soon the jigsaw is at last starting to come together, but I appreciated there is a very long journey ahead in which we need to all stick together if we are to succeed. May I wish you success with your meeting. Best wishes UTG Brian SS Thank you for that Brian. We all want the same thing - Success for Bristol Rovers Football Club, on and off the pitch. I think you appreciate supporters like myself are not vindictive or hateful people, we purely want to debate and encourage every stone to be turned in pursuit of a better club. If new ideas are suggested or answers to previous failures are noted it can only benefit everyone at Rovers. The Rovers Family is a strong one, there are so many knowledgeable and indeed talented individuals, some of which would no doubt enhance our great club, i hope some of them can play a part in a bright future for the Blue and White Quarters - together we are stronger. I wish you well Brian, especially at this difficult time for you and your family, i think i speak on behalf of all Gasheads when i say, you're in our thoughts and send our best wishes to you. Take care my friend. JTS

Looking forward to seeing you all again (plus new faces) tonight. Don't forget how you felt when the final whistle went at the end of the Mansfield game and how you felt on the way home. How you felt when you went into work, how you felt when the league fixtures were announced, how you felt when you found out where Alfreton is, how you felt when you realised that we are nearer Bath City and WSM in the league than Bristol City!

Are you thinking of joining up with BRISA? To be honest I didn't think that was the idea, and I for one am not sure on that one. I know all about a united voice and all that, but at the moment I was not thinking of joining them,so I am slightly concern, which is a shame.

It makes sense to me...but we have to be pragmatic. One voice will be stronger. But perhaps linking together is the best way to put it!

If one voice is the mantra then why didn't you all join the SC instead? Or BRISA? It seems we have more division than ever among fan groups. I am as yet unconvinced by any of the groups. I'm not even 100% sure if my support of this forum is helpful or just part of the problem! Or even if all of us are just watering in the wind. As others have said, the forums and groups represent a small minority of every day fans. Do the club really care or even need to care about what we think?

Unless something inflammatory is written. Otherwise we on forums represent a tiny percentage of fanbase opinion and I think maybe even less of people that actually pay to watch week in week out. The forum has no collective voice. Only small individual ones. Associations by nature will have more but even then, are they representative? Only of those with similar motives.

Hugo,
Your point of view seems confused. We the Wellie group will merge with BRISA. This is to unify supporters (and groups obviously) demanding answers and change at OUR club. People have unfairly moaned on here that there are too many groups and said what do they stand for, well now it is simpler and clearer. We will post the minutes/review of the meeting on here and you will see very clearly what we stand for. Alternatively, you can come along tonight and make your own mind up after speaking to some very committed and passionate Rovers supporters just like yourself.
All the best.
Mark

If the majority tonight do not wish this to happen - then it won't :-) We will move democratically.

This isn't GOOD v EVIL ! It is Rovers supporters working together to help get answers and change at our club - too much failure and no accountability isn't right, is it ? If you come tonight you will find out more.
