I sadly have to add weight to this subject as it has now cost the FFSC two extremely valuable members who i personally now consider friends and i am very saddened they now feel unable to post on here - I ask that the subject matter be considered and dealt with on behalf of other FFS/GasChat members who know and regard Gashead Blues and Bideford as well respected Gasheads - i realise it's not comfortable to discuss but cannot stand by and just watch good Gasheads move on I can only imagine Unigas will also miss their significant contribution - btw nothing personal against the particular poster but a solution to this problem needs to be found and quickly - Regards & UTG Fully understand it is disappointing to lose 2 members Jon. I hope you understand that I can't force them to stay, unfortunate that me trying to defend a Rovers player has resulted in such actions and if I realised that was the case then I maybe wouldn't have said the "lover boy" bit. I still would have defended Taylor though as I rate him and I am a passionate gashead who will always have an opinion. Thing is though Taylor is a god to me and wendy,but if someone only found his game worthy of a one then so be it, there's no set criteria for scoring players , one mans 10 is anothers what the f**k was that. we all see things differently when it comes to players. The other bit was inexcusable really, the comment was ok ish as some would have laughed it off, but quite clearly it caused a lot of offence to the posters involved, the least you could have done was apologise, as for a lot of people for whatever reason that is saw as a very personal and offensive slur. I'm not the most pc person in the world what you see is what you get but i will back off if I've caused severe personal offence to posters. Tiz easy just tone it down a tad  |

Isn't the problem the personal abuse, even if intended as a joke, rather than the disagreements? It's fine for one poster to rate a player and another poster to think the same player is a waste of space but where it goes wrong ISTM is when the original poster is criticised rather than their view. So, for example, poster A says "Nathan Bilssett will come good". Poster B need only say "I don't think he ever will" but too often says "Poster A you must be blind and stupid" or some other insulting phrase. Just state you disagree with the post and leave out the insults - it's easy!! Yup Ellis is getting a lot of attention on the forum at present but it hasn't even remotely got personal betwixt poster yet thank fook, and if anyone wants to insult me feel free as i've said before im a total lady garden and even have the tat to prove it |

Tbh I just don't have the time. When I took up the role, we had somewhere between 50 to 100 members; now there are thousands! Following the issues over the weekend, the first I found out about it was late last night, as it was the first time I managed to get on over the weekend. I'm going to become a father shortly and, as a result, I'll have even less time. So thanks for the kind words, but I do believe that the position would be better suited to someone else. I'm not leaving completely though and will still post on here. Oi get yer Dam arse back in the comfy mod chair, I've often said mod or admin roles are a total Dam curse, damned if you do and damned if you don't, i can lend you a suit of armor made from rhino skin if you want mods need it . People often forget mods are posters first and mods second, they also forget that everyone has differing levels of tolerance and what they don't like may be ok to a mod and same t'udder way round. Mod duties are never easy so don't ever let people drive you from a thing you were doing well, if someone doesn't like the fact that you are a mod well feck em all bar one and bollicks to him too. Oh yeah and thanks fer the time you have given to the forum, hope you have a rethink lad (hell i've been nice twice today best get wend to whip it out of me ) |

Both contributed to the player rating threads regularly and provided very good match day feed back. Neither of them ever courted controversy and nither ever felt the need to post disparaging content about other users. They were valued founder members of the FFSC and are actually 2 bloody decent blokes. Would I have been offended? Maybe, maybe not. But they were and both requested an apology. Neither got one. Frankly, that's unforgivable and I'm personally disgusted by that and disappointed by the lack of action taken. We have not only lost them from the forum but they have also decided to withdraw support from the FFSC as they see gaschat and the FFSC as linked together. If people want to carry on taking the water and suggesting they get over it that's their prerogative but not every user is a 20 something carefree lad up for a bit of banta. Some users demand and deserve a little more respect. This forum and the FFSC is considerably worse off without them. |

I certainly wasn't taking the p**s with my previous post, and it is disappointing that one daft comment has had these consequences and put them in a position where they no longer want to participate on here. I do however find it strange that one post from a person that they've probably never met and will never meet has resulted in them washing their hands of the place all together. Hopefully they will rejoin in the near future. |

That is a crying shame as they are two of the nicest blokes you could wish to meet. i agree that the FFSC and this forum will miss their combined input. Ladies and gents please think before you post disparaging remarks about other forum members, and at least have the good manners to apologise if you have offended anybody.
