I'd just like to say I'm available. I'm more of a right winger, although I can play on the left or as an attacking wingback. I can also fill in as a number 10, if required. Although, to be fair, at 48 yrs old, I probably don't get up and down quite as quickly as I used to. But are you Latvian?? I know who this player Padstow speak of is anyway... Ivar Shkret

Another problem approaching Marcus Stewart is that he doesn't get on with Clarke so perhaps you should have gone straight to the top Padstow? yeah, that's why he was so interested in becoming manager at yeovil

Unfortunately due to our financial position (currently) I don't see how we are going to be able to afford wages for a player who, although may have potential, would possibly not have an immediate impact on the team.
Unfortunately we will need to think for the short term now because we are thankfully right up the top of the league and haven't got time for failed signings.

As DC said we need players who are better than we already have

I heard last week of a Latvian under 21 international midfielder/striker coming to England looking for a club,so going into the ground yesterday I saw Ian Holtby and Marcus Stewart and started to tell them of the player,i was given the brush off and told to get the player to write to the club asking for a trial, like he is going to do that. It strikes me that a) the club aren't interested in new players and b) definitely not interested in recommendations from anyone outside of the inner circle. This is not the first time over the years have recommended a player to the club and have been ignored, but it will definitely be the last Just wondering who your boy signed for in the end Padstow?

I was in Costa in Merchants Quarter a few months ago. Young guy serving me coffee noticed Rovers badge on my gilet & said could I recommend him to the club as he'd played football to a good standard in Italy. Who should I approach @ Rovers? He might be a future Italian star! Ian Holtby, obviously. PM me his name and I can pass it on. I make no promises that he will be contacted though, but I can certainly pass it on to the people I know.

Just wondering who your boy signed for in the end Padstow? Read my response to the same question of a few pages back I've just skimmed the thread and can't see who he signed for? What was the point in starting a thread without any substance whatsoever? If the lad has got a club or failed to get a club, surely it doesn't matter what is disclosed now?

Why would you reccomend a player to Ian Holtby ? Unless of course he's capable of joining the firm on a Saturday afternoon!
