Funny you should ask, the girls in my history class nicknamed me "Bismarck" on the grounds that I knew the topic so well (relatively speaking) their only explanation was that I must have been him in a previous life. I certainly feel old enough! Are you sure the girls didn`t nickname you "Bismarck", because you went down so easily? Their's was submarine. I'll let you guess as to the second reason!

Six pages, Article 50 ran to. Wtf? I would have handed over something far more concise to Mr Tusk. " Ta ra then, we`re off. See you when the Germans next invade." Too late for the Germans, already there. Russia mind you is a realistic alternative and one some have touted we could use a a bargaining position.

Since it took the EU about 7 years to negotiate a trade deal with Canada, I think the 2 years allowed for us might be optimistic, given that the trade deal is just the little pointy bit of a huge iceberg of legal unpicking and negotiating. It surely will be extended if all members agree, and definitely will if all members don't.
I agree with stuart1974 that what we will end up with is a (slightly) watered-down version of what we already have, but I don't think any of us will actually know for so long that we will still be debating it whilst sitting in the UWE stadium.

Well, I`ve thought and thought and thought, but I`m really struggling with this one. Was it because they liked a torpedo up their rear exit vent?

The EU starting position is a disgrace, the British government should say no deal if the EU want to start with some payment. We owe the EU f"ck all as we have been a net contributor for 44 years and have had to carry 24 of the nations who have paid in nothing and received everything thanks to British taxpayers money. If anything the EU owe us a huge percentage of their assets as they are ours.

I'm just glad I'm old enough not to be conscripted to fight Spain for Gibraltar. What a load of bollocks we are going to have to put up with for the next two years.

Is it going to be winner takes all? We lose, they get Gibraltar. We win, we get Spain. Yet another point that needs clarifying. It`s all such a mess.

Then we can try and get Calais back from France. How about we reimpose control over the whole of Ireland.

How about the thirteen American colonies. Surely they need saving from that maniac.

This is encouraging stuff. I can see a whole new world order emerging, with us at the helm.

To be honest I don't give a feck. I am not sure it will make any difference to ordinary people whatever they do.
