That’s a very perceptive observation and probably too deep for this forum, although the overarching melancholy implicit in your reflection is perfectly aligned with the psyche of a Gashead. What Um...it was an attempt to be humorous (a bit dry admittedly) along the lines of the Bill Bailey “Argos” sketch. |

SLR, Iron sights; Susat & CWS; 308 & 7.62 sniper rifle, iron sights and scope. Pre-NI tour as a 19 year old, couple of old Cpl's showed me the sites of Sennelager & Paderborn
300m on the range with SLR using iron sights was always a bit of a challenge ! Pah, that’s nothing. I pack an Ashbury AU-60 concert ukulele and I can mess with your ears until you beg for mercy (according to my children) and thanks to the “where exactly are our forum members based” thread I know where you live! |

Also from High Littleton!! I visited Eastville once but wasn't sure who or what I was watching! Became a Gashead from the first game at Twerton and never looked back!!! Amazing, Rotcombe Lane for me. Spooky...my old folks live in the Lane too! |

I’m another one born and bred (late 60’s/70’s) in the mighty King’s wood but these days reside in Bathford having sojourned in Oxford as a student (the Poly/Brookes) and the glamorous bits of London (Stoke Newington & Crystal Palace) before the onset of children prompted a move back west fifteen years ago.

...Blackman to score direct from a goal kick! Not allowed.Clearance ok but not from a goal kick.Think we score so few goals that we'd take anything. I was curious so checked the FA website and Law 16 states that “a goal may be scored directly from a goal kick, but only against the opposing team; if the ball directly enters the kicker’s goal a corner kick is awarded to the opponents if the ball left the penalty area”. So as Blackman is winding up to punt it downfield I think we should encourage him to “shoot”! 😂 |
