How is he doing in the Conference? Think he has only played a couple of games due to injuries. Allegedly coming back to us in January. Yes he got injured early season and Bromley went on an impressive run of form without him. He’s forced his way back onto the bench but has been reduced to cameo appearances due to the good form of the starting XI.

Wish we would sign our own players really. He's out-of-contract in the summer, so perhaps there is a chance of a more permanent deal in the future? Even so I think we’d get more passion and commitment and a determination to do what our manager wants to be done from giving Ryan Jones a run in the side. He was impressive in the preseason games only to be turfed out on loan, injured and then underutilised. Time to back him in my opinion.

Which is funny because apparently JCH is too old, and Rhodes is 4 years older. (and Norburn) Didn't get to watch the match, so gonna skim the comments to see how we did even though we lost. Couldn't help the JCH comment though. Marquis is older than JCH but still JCH is too old for us. 😂 I don't think we were as bad as the comments on here will suggest. 1st half pretty even and a really good watch. Norburn with a worldie and a smart finish from Marquis saw honours even and probably a fair reflection of the first 45. 2nd half Cox made a poor attempt at a really easy chance to clear and we were punished 45 seconds in. We looked really shakey for a spell after that but it wasn't like Blackpool were all over us for long periods of the game. But for a very lucky offside decision, we could have have pulled it back to 2-2. After that it was Blackpool in control and they ran out deserved winners but it wasn't a hammering by any standards. Agreed. I took my sister and nephew (Gasheads) and my eldest niece’s husband (neutral…northern Irish Charlton fan). Consensus was both teams tried to produce a decent game despite the wind, we made a sloppy mistake just as the second half started and then got caught on the break chasing the equaliser which Thomas’s disallowed goal and Collins foiled one-on-one suggested we might get. Ultimately they had more players performing at par or above than we did, you can win games in L1 with a couple of substandard performers but only if the opposition has either equally as many, or more misfiring individuals and Blackpool didn’t. Thomas and Finley were our most prominent performers and there were at least two Blackpool players who achieved a higher level of performance than them.

Been chatting to a few FGR supporters in my village. All more than happy with his performances despite results and sad to see him leave. We all agree that 'Belshaw' would be a great name for a pet dog. It’s a dog with 8 legs but can’t command the back four.

I thought the credit could only be used on Ticketmaster's website to buy tickets not the BRFC Direct website? Best ask the club. Regardless, the refund money to a Season Ticket Holder for the resale of a ticket is a 'credit' and therefore the refund money essentially stays within the club; you can't spend it elsewhere. A Season Ticket Holder is highly unlikely to use the credit towards purchasing a match ticket for themselves for a future League match as they already have a ticket for League matches. Therefore the STH might use the credit towards purchasing a full-price ticket for friends or family. If I had sold my Pompey season ticket seat earlier I could have used the £20 to offset some of the cost of the four Blackpool away tickets I bought, because ticket transactions are handled through ticketmaster you can use it for home cup games that are not included in your season ticket as well as for tickets for away matches or those games held at a neutral venue. Imagine if your playoff final ticket was covered by the credits you received for selling two tickets to games over the festive period you could not have gone to anyway, isn’t that a win-win? I should also mention that when I purchased this season’s ticket I was offered the option to pay for part of that ticket using my existing credit balance, so the credit isn’t as redundant as it sounds. As it happens I didn’t use my credit on my season ticket because I knew it would cover the cost of the Charlton away ticket, last minute winner…credit well used!

Can't make the Pompey game and wanted to sell my ticket through the clubs Ticket Exchange. I have used it before (last season) but am getting an error on the page - has anyone else used it this season? Thanks It worked for me. Put my Pompey season ticket seat on on Friday and I got a notification today that someone had bought it. As I mentioned on the Pompey thread it’s the first time my seat has sold in three attempts.

I’ve listed my East Stand seat season ticket on ticket exchange three times over the last two years but this match is the first time someone has actually bought it!

Said it before say it again stinks of Tisdale MK 2 All this talk of a big overhaul in January . There are only scraps to be had in the Jan window so lower your expectations and expect a slide down the table. Am I the only one not inspired by Taylor at all ? After one game you draw that conclusion? That's laughable I half expected a “has he gone yet?” post!

All I know is players were given time off on international break weekends, given the amount of training ground injuries we seemed to pick up, I'm not sure that was a bad thing? Pretty certain we weren't saying players were unfit when we beat Scunthorpe 7-1 in the last game of the season. Mighty generous giving that Scunny side the 1😂 Especially as it would have stopped us getting automatic promotion!

I would love to know Neil Harris' reasons for turning the job down. Probably read some of the tripe on this thread!

Have had the seat next to Kev in the East Stand ever since the gas moved back to Bristol…if you hear a “Rubbish Ref” emanating from block B it’s either him or seanclevedongas! He’s also famous for shouting that he hoped the ref pulled a hamstring…which the official promptly did! I’m sure cancer will be getting just as hard a time as those officials! All the best mate..

That sounds like a bit of a Charade! I have a Suspicion he was Notorious for it. Used to like him till I realised one of his early films was called Topper!! Bit Indiscreet that. incidentally should we consider nicknaming our current no.4 Cary or Archibald?

Can we name the new stand on completion, The Almost Cary Grant Stand? I'm sure he was almost a GasHead! Then, in a weird twist of fate, he would go North by Northwest to South by Southwest. That sounds like a bit of a Charade!

I was there too and remember the scrappy away goal that got us to Wembley. The most unsavoury memory of the day was the first ten minutes of the second half. The away terrace at that time was totally inadequate for a full attendance seriously boozed up. I was sober as I’d driven but a lot of over refreshed gasheads sought the toilets at the interval and realised there were so few that they’d still be queuing a significant period into the second half…so they took the decision to relieve themselves against the back wall. I presume they didn’t notice that the terrace sloped forward so that excess liquid flowed towards the front of the terrace and thus their excess bladder product seeped below their fellow gasheads feet. Most of it probably still had an alcohol by volume level that was higher than Watney’s but I fear it was still strong enough to ruin several pairs of footwear that night!

Unlike Joey he would unite the fanbase…everyone would hate him and his football after a month of it! The only plus side would be his laughable post match interviews.

His football isn't pleasing on the eye but if you look at his record at Wycombe with probably the budget he had to work then he did an amazing job there and ok they did come back down from the championship but the fact they gave it a good go and it went to the final day was an amazing effort. Only thing is that is he one of these managers that will only ever be known for his record at Wycombe while all the other clubs he didn't have any success?? Will find out soon I guess. Also could he work with the current squad?? Deffo not in my top 5 but at the same time I would rather him than some of the other names on the list. whatever happens I want a manager that will want to keep all our players that's for sure They may want to keep our players but will the players want to stay with the new manager? There’s a lot who have contracts ending this season. The Barton factor certainly attracted several of them. Will also be interesting to see what the parent clubs of our loan players think of the change of circumstances …I suspect most of the deals include the opportunity to review in January, one indication of what they might be thinking will be if they allow us to field them in the FA Cup, Woods will be serving the last game of his suspension anyway but if Chelsea, Brentford or Villa do consider there is potential to recall and reloan they may feel a non cup tied asset will be easier to relocate.
