Just looked at his wiki page . Would be a little strange if true bearing in mind that his partner is in Coronation street. is there a trend here? Still started a number of games for them last season and captained them in one game. So you would have to think he's on a championship wage that we wouldn't be able to match. Looks like he has a year left on his contract so probably a decent fee would be involved.

Not Rovers directly but…..
Stoke City transfer news - QPR defender Jake Clarke-Salter is a top summer target. Price likely to be £5-7m and other clubs (including in PL) potentially interested.

What about 1974? But if it’s excitement you want I guess it’s the 7-0 but the ‘74 was great. It’s very exciting when from the first match in August you know you’re going up! Not going to happen like that anytime soon. ☹️ UTG! 74 was great and probably my favourite Rovers team. However the nil nil draw at Southend to confirm promotion doesn’t rank with these other games tbh.

And weren’t they all moaning about how poor he was after his first couple of games?!

Sean Morrison .... Player of interest to us. Known to MT and has South West roots. Will be interesting to see if / how things develop - he is 34 in January so hoping he is fit enough. Nothing other than a chat at this time. Proper leadership material and hasn't played below Championship level since 2012. He would be an excellent addition. Especially if we could offload Wilson.

No teams promoted have been relegated. Unusual. Well done Argyle. See you and Huddersfield and Birmingham That must be the first time in a while right? Especially as Rotherham have been yoyo-ing so much. It shows the level of investment you need at the Championship though, Plymouth spent a solid amount of money under their American owners and they only just stayed up. Kinda worrying Ipswich double promotion amazing for them! Should inspire us to be more ambitious than championship in 3-5 years. Also Birmingham relegated that's a decent away day in a nice stadium for us next season. Ipswich deserve many of the plaudits they're getting, absolutely superb what they've done. But tbf, their squad by the end of L1 was probably a solid Championship team, they were signing players for extreme L1 money. Still, to get promoted on that is massively impressive From The Times this morning: Last season FGR were above Ipswich when the teams met in L1in August 22 but next season Ipswich will be in the Premier League and FGR will be a non league club. Almost unbelievable isn’t it?

Remember going there in 1990 when we drew 2-2.
Sure Martin Thomas was playing for them then and let in a really soft goal for us to equalise late on.

Looks like there are 12 teams in the Womens National League Division One South West which is where I presume the Gas Girls will compete.
So 11 home league games pls whatever cups they are in.

I didn’t think the ground staff did a very good job on the pitch this season. The area near where I sit in the south west had no grass at all. Hoping for an improvement next season although that seems unlikely with 40 extra games on it next season 🤦♂️ Why the 40 extra games?

One year left and only 22 so will probably need a little cash, but anyone think Lorent Tolaj from Aldershot is worth looking at? Make a nice change from our players playing there. No doubt Jones and Greenslade will be there next season?! Thought he looks decent from NL highlights show this season.

Employee gets new job shocker. It is a shocker when the manager clearly didn’t know about this on Saturday in his interview after the game at Wigan.

Worried that despite all the injuries problems this season we are going to have more of the same next year if we have a squad containing Wilson, Hunt, Grant Ward and Rossiter .

Kevin Phillips I think will be a decent manager, not sure why Hartlepool dont want to keep him though Agree. Had a great season at South Shields winning promotion and moving on to Hartlepool. Surprised they let him go.

Doubt that he was cheaper than Garry Monk who ended up at Cambridge after being out of management for years. And saved them having taken charge in March. Took them from 19th to 18th. 10 points from 11 games. MT 8 points from last 11. Neither very inspiring tbh!

A league two side would have him. We would have to pay him off a bit but that's at least some wage we could get back. He has to want to go. Does he want to go to league 2?? he comes from Newport - maybe GC could do us a favour and take him off our hands
