Sad to hear he's going and to a L2 club - must be a longer contract. He played a lot more good games than bad and scored plenty of cracking goals (with both feet !). Always ran and tackled. Good luck Ollie ! Only 2 years at Stags. BG offered 1 year I guess.

It's a fake season . Some will benefit some will lose out. Nobody will reflect the golden season where they were promoted by a math equation and winning a few pre season friendlies. Rovers wouldnt have been champions under Gerry and may have lost friendly type playoffs without the twerton crowd. The memories of that season wouldnt be legendary. Paul trollopes team probably wouldnt have been given a playoff spot. Maybe Coughlans team would have been relegated last season ? Fake season and I feel sorry for all the fans who have missed out. In 1964/65 season Rovers would have been promoted instead of the sheeds, then there was 99/2000.

Seven games now, and Warnock's already been snapped up.

If instead of signing Hartley to replace Macca, and Clarke Salter in 16/17, they had signed Craig, Rovers would have made the playoffs.

Very strange running style...looked like he had shat himself or something. Congrats on the win though. Thought that was Matt Gill who ran like that. Craig Stanley was better than him.

Assuming some level of spectators are allowed, I think the club should offer any season ticket holder the opportunity to exchange their ST for I-follow access. Every season ticket holder would get all the home games as a minimum, any ST holder with ticket that cost more than £230 would get away games added pro-rata. This would release seats to be sold on a match by match basis

Agree with a lot of those names on that release list but seeing Craig and Sercombe depart is disappointing. Craig is one of the most passionate players I’ve ever seen for Rovers. Every time he scored or made a crucial tackle, he’d let his feelings known. Always put in a good shift, top bloke. Sercs helped us firmly establish ourselves in L1 and has come up with some really important goals and assists over the years, especially in his first season. All the best to them and all the others that have been released this summer wherever they end up next. Garner clearing out louder voices in the dressing room than him.

If he gets Oxford to the Championship they will need to get near his wages to keep him.

Bobby Goulds hattrick debut against Blackburn. Washed up, ex sheed, my expectations were really low.

Just looked it up.. He was called ishmail Miller and scored a hat trick against us and they beat us 5-1..ive done us a disservice, it was the fa cup quarter final in 2008 and not the last 16. I was positive Ishmael Miller would go on to play for England after his spell at West Brom in the Championship and that performance against us. He made our defence look like dicks! He got injured not long after his first Premier League appearance and was never the same again. Joe Jacobson had a mare that night, that helped Miller, plus his first goal was offside.

How about this, Take the results from the first 22 games (half season) subtract results against Bolton because they only played their youth team until they met Rovers.. Top eight would be.
1. Wycombe 40 2. Oxford 38 Joint third. Bristol Rovers. Coventry. Fleetwood. 36 6. Ipswich 34 7. Peterboro 33 8. Rotherham 32 Third spot to be decided alphabetically.

Will Hoskens, what a talent! To date I've not seen a player in the gas shirt who looked so comfortable on the ball as he did. His goals saved us that season. Another player we let go far to cheap! Shame injuries got the better of him elsewhere. Agreed, cracking player and it's a real shame that he never really showed off his true potential at a higher level. Did we not get relegated that year he was with us? PT had a bargain with Will Hoskins, I think he also wanted to sign Chris Woods, but that would have cost money. I think Wood Hoskins would have kept Rovers up, near playoffs even.

Well that's unfair, Bolton played their first six or so games with their youth team. All their results should be disregarded. Hmm, I think this gives Rovers a three point advantage over the teams above them!

I'm one of the thousand, if it remained at that number, and it was season ticket holders only, I think social distancing would be possible from what I can remember at EFL trophy games.

1000 now sold according to the club, who have decided to pledge the same amount of tickets to NHS staff next season. Great support from Gasheads and a fantastic gesture from Rovers. Fingers crossed the NHS workers are rewarded for their magnificent efforts with a couple of wins next season. www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2020/april/nhs-season-tickets/So, if you are a NHS worker and have already bought your ticket?

A great keeper who I seem to remember got a lot of stick when he got his chance to play for England although I don’t remember it right now. Deputising for an ill Gordon Banks in the 1970 World Cup quarter finals against West Germany, the Germans’ first goal went under his dive. presumably a fit Banks would have stopped it, but he did receive a lot of mostly unfair criticism. Wasn't his fault Grabowski came on and ran Terry Cooper ragged.
