Our performance has been covered elsewhere but how the hell do we do consistently get such poor officials at the mem? I remember reading sone time ago (probably on here) that referees going up the leagues or being fast tracked are given our home games so that assessors can see how they react to (relatively) large crowds. If that's the case now then I feel it is working against us as they try to show they are not biased - that's the only way I can explain the idiot 'in charge' yesterday. Even the assistants didn't have a hat so how could they see when facing the sun. The fact that we had no officials at the world cup to and says a lot too. It's amazing how many assistants don't have a cap, I remember one borrowing a cap from the Rovers physio, despite me advising him to make the lino buy one from the club shop. The Ref did improve second half, I'm sure sometimes the assistants have a go at a Ref at halftime if they think he's having a bad game, no different to players and managers.

Is the offer of two friends for £10 at a match to be determined by the club a new thing? It's a good deal but very inflexible. I thought it was previously any match you chose except Category 1 games and cup ties. The club shop told me the offer of two for £10 is only available for the Scunthorpe game.

Your the one having the nightmare, we're not in L2 Getting ahead of myself? Hope I don't have to cut and paste that one this time next year!!! Clearly meant league one and my point still stands - do you think it's even a remote possibility that a side in our position would 1 be able to attract that calibre of player when they would surely be looking at championship, 2 spend a million pounds on one player and 3 be able to pay a million pound players wages? The wages would be offset with what TL is paid, who I expect to be one of the top earners at the club.

Tom Lockyer will save Rovers from relegation. If the money from his sale in January, which I would expect to be close to £1,000,000, is spent on a striker who can actually score goals. Won't happen but even if it did do you seriously think a struggling league two team would ever pay a million pounds for a single player? What player valued at a million would want to join a struggling league two club and how would we pay a million pound players wages. i think you must be still asleep and dreaming. Nice dream though if Rovers are snapping up that type of striker!!! Your the one having the nightmare, we're not in L2

I remember watching Malcolm Macdonald playing for Luton Town. He would stand just over the halfway line, the ball would be thumped long, and SuperMac would outpace the defence and bang it in the net. And Usain Bolt is more than a second quicker.

Given the choice,I would rather see Stewart (The goal scoring coach) leave.

Bonham 7 If we had him last season Rovers would have made the playoffs and kept Bodin and Harrison.
Leadbitter 6.5 Thought it was is best game so far J. Clarke 7. Reliable Craig 6. Distribution let him down Martin 5. This left back position is a problem area.
Sinclair 6.5 Decent but out of position Lines 8 Best midfielder on the pitch O. Clarke 7 Plenty of action but errors as well Bennett 5 Party tricks don't win games
Reilly 5.5 Drifted in and out the game. Nichols 4 Skill but no confidence
Subs: Jakubiak 6.5 Should have scored with the free header Sercombe 5.5 Out of position still not 100% fit by the look of it Matthews 6.5 If his free kick had gone in. This would have been a happy place
Crowd 6. Poor numbers but got going towards the end. Ref 3. Very inconsistent Walsall 5. Average DC 4. Not Tinkerman; more like Teardown Man

Bearing in mind our leading goal scorer went off injured, 0-0 is ok.

If we can't use the two for £10 for Cat 1 games, does any one know what clubs it applies to. Coventry was Cat 1 but I thought Portsmouth was Cat 2. I guess Sunderland and games over Xmas / New year will be Cat 1 but can't think of any others.
I've looked and Oxford is Cat 1 as well

Bonham 8 Early saves kept Rovers in it, Easy game after that
J. Clarke 6 would have been 7 if had taken a great chance to make it 4 Lockyer 7 Good game up against decent Coventry strikers Craig 7 Same as Locks Kelly 6.5 Making himself first choice
Sinclair 8 He's what DC's been waiting for O. Clarke 9 Dominated midfield Lines 8 At last an attacking midfielder Bennett 6.5 Looked hungry again
Nichols 5 Nuisance value Reilly 6.5 Matty Taylor moment for his goal. legs went late on
Subs: Payne 3 Coventry had to mark him just in case Jakubiak 6 Holds the ball up had a half chance that if had gone in would have got him a 7 Matthews 6 Got involved well for the short time
Crowd 6 It was a bit tense being the first home win Ref 5 Decent first half but missed stonewall penalty.
Coventry 5 Crumbled after the first goal, should have been 5 down by halftime

I’m not a Nichols fan, at all, and today he did his usual, run about, attempt to head a few balls and miss, get knocked about and didn’t create anything. I don’t think he even had a shot himself, but somehow, Payne was even worse when he came on. He looked so unfit, didn’t chase anything, didn’t jump for anything. Both were terrible, just Nichols wasn’t so terrible as usual. Who on the Rovers bench was having a go at Payne?

I guess the games that you will be able to use the 2 for £10 will be restricted. 5,000 season ticket holders bringing 2 friends to the Sunderland match!

I think bringing in Rodman, Upson and Payne who are average players at best, probably on better wages than most at the club, has wrecked the team spirit. It's DCs first big mistake. What happens if DC goes. I can't see anyone else getting much more out of the squad until the injured are fit, and most of those you would expect to put in a shift for DC anyway.

Now that this has been brought back up, does Ed Upson remind anyone else of a present-day Craig Stanley? More like Robert Quinn.

I think most opponents know they can expose the weakness at right back when both Leadbitter and James Clarke are pulled into the middle, and out of position Sercombe does not cover back.

The truth is there is no combination that match Ellis and Gaffers.

I don't see anything that Upson, Rodman and Payne have brought to the team. Gaffers was better than what Payne is, Upson is generally sideways and back and Rodman looks half interested. All three of these players were with teams that had a poor finish to last season, and they have brought that lack of confidence with them.

I don't think the issue is so much creating chances as it is putting them away. Even if we concede 2 a game we create enough to win it but rarely do
The issue is the defence. If you don't let a goal in you will at least get a point.
Same shaky defence as last season bar a consistent and ever-present Lee Brown who has been replaced by a crock.
He wasn't ever present last season. Bola played 15 league and 2 FA Cup games.
