Roos 8 Game would have been lost first half
Leadbitter 7 Defended well. Lockyer 7.5 Now matching last seasons performances Clarke-Salter 7.5 Should be first choice along side Locks Brown 6.5 Better second half as usual
O. Clarke 5.5 Can't see him getting better, and now not shooting Sinclair 8 The Beard is a standard 7 bit better than that today Boateng 5 Does not look fit enough for the present side, his corner he could hardly lift his boot Colkett 5 Flair seemed to fade away
Easter 6 Worked hard Harrison 5 Missed three decent chances
Subs: Lines 7.5 Made a big difference Taylor 6.5 Always a threat, make opposition nervous Gaffney 6.5 Effective
Crowd 5 Numbers don't equal noise Ref 5 Usual Conference standard MK Dons 7 Couldn't really fault them, if they had Taylor would be top six
DC 6 If his plan was to start a team that would hold on till half time, and then win the game with subs it nearly worked

Cheap game, £10 terraces, £5 concession.

DC just didn't have the bench to cope with that particular sending off, without James Clarke it was a lash up. I guess he is injured. Makes me wonder if it's worth leaving Puddy off to provide more options, as generally DC uses the subs better than any previous Rovers managers.

I think Gos may have done better than Billy Bodin this season who I have been disappointed with.

"I see DC has suggested he will make a substitution after 2 mins. Perhaps they will go to Southampton instead."
That has to be Will Puddy, apart from Chris Lines all the other subs featured.

What if a club want to sell a player who is out on loan. Or that player puts in a request. For instance Tammy Abraham.

I had a quick look on the Rugby Forum and it seems their ambition is to beat Worcester twice, beat Newcastle at Trashton and pick up a couple of bonus points and that will keep them in the Prem!! It's the predictabilty that ruins Rugby, Poor sides hardly ever beat good sides. Compare that to L1 results tuesday.

I thought Rovers were worth the three points. Never really troubled in open play, their goal I would rate as a set piece. Montano changed the game, two crosses that should have been converted and Lee Brown had one tipped over the bar. Taylor would have added a third if the picky ref had blown up ten seconds later.

Paul Randall missed that game, He made a lot of teams wary, Bobby Gould only had to put the into the box and Randall would do the rest.

So any team 3-0 down with thirty minutes to go can launch a couple of drones!

Rovers have certainly moved on, remember Gow, Gillespie and Kaid Mohamaed.

Perhaps BRFC could apply an early bird discount as a goodwill gesture.

Gos only on bench for Cambridge to-day. McBurnie also on the bench, albeit in the Premier league against the champs! On as sub 85th minute

I was going to give this game a miss, but with the new signings and players I have not seen this season, or played small parts. if DC starts them I will probably go.
New boys Roos and Roberts + Moore, James. Broom, Lucas, Kilgour with if they are fit Lawrence and Mansell. Add McChrystal and Gaffney

we played a full strength leeds united team away from home in the 1970"s in the fa cup when they were in there pomp. also the stoke city team that beat us 4-2 at eastville after being 4-0 up at half time were very strong and won the league cup i think that year. Terry Coopers tackles on Bruce Bannister were all at least knee high. Dick Sheppard was MoTM or it would have been a lot worse. Against Stoke Gordon Banks was MoTM for Stoke, Dick Sheppard had the reverse of the Leeds game, Stoke seemed to score every time they had a corner.

1964 I went to Old Trafford for a fourth round FA cup tie. Man U had Bobby Charlton, Dennis Law and George Best in their line up. Rovers lost 4-1 with Man U scoring all five goals! Also they had a player injured, and in the time before subs, injured players had to stay on as walking wounded. To rub it in while waiting for the train home, the local rag football special came out with the headline "Ten Man Reds Walk It" and it was true.

As far as I'm concerned all the players signed in the last two seasons were useful at the time and did a job for Rovers. Blissett scored some important goals in the conference as did Gaffney last season. Trotman brought an influence to the dressing room after an awful start.
I tell a lie, there is one player who was a bad mistake on DCs part and that was Lee Nichols. But he put that right and admitted it, how many managers would have done that.

Mildenhall 6 I suppose if he had kept those two shots out he would be worth a 9, nothing else bothered him.
Leadbitter 6 Thought he did well enough.Got to the corners a few times. J.Clarke 7 Again best of the defence. Lockyer 6 Couple of dodgy moments. Hartley 6 Ok, no better than Tom Parkes , tunnel vision passing Brown 4 Not a wingback, left Sinclair to defend for their goal. Stuck in no mans land most of the time.
Sinclair 5 Took a heavy challenge first half, He's not going to win a game for you.
Lines 7 Best of the midfield, but because of Browm being ineffective he blanked the left flank out, so when Montano came on he was permanently in switch it right mode. O Clarke 6 O Clarke can win a game so surprised he was subbed.
Harrison 7.5 Did well against uncompromising defenders. Taylor 6 Looked good when he got the ball, which wasn't very often.
Easter 7 Made a good impact Bodin 6 Caused Bolton some problems but his eye for goal was missing. Montano 5 Better than Brown but must have had a cloaking device in his shirt because he was invisible to his team mates.
Bolton, 8 Quick and combatative. Ref 3 Usual inconsistency. Crowd 8 Good support.
Compared to early season defeats last year this wasn't so bad. Watershed moment to sub Brown.

Mildenhall 7 Still a decent keeper on this performance
J.Clarke 7 Solid defensively, and good link up. Lockyer 6 Below par, got done for their goal and lucky the Ref didn't see the handball. McChrystal 7 Usual steady game Brown 7 Consistant
Bodin 6 Worked hard enough but no magic today O Clarke 8 Relished 442 close to MoM Lines 8.5 MoM Got booked for trying to recover a mistake, apart from that top class Montano 6.5 Quick and tricky, if only the shots and crosses were a little better
Easter 8 Very good goal, troubled Oxford a lot Gaffney 6 Opposition can't ignore him, but missed two decent chances
Subs Taylor 8 Really glad Oxford didn't get him Harrison 6 Probably better than 6 but I was mesmarised by Taylor James 6 Had a hand in the winner.
Ref If I were an Oxford fan I would give a 2 so he's worth 4 Oxford, They looked like last season, but we are better now.
Overall I was impressed by Rovers, they have stepped up to L1 pace and look slicker.
