I believe we are. Whilst I think we genuinely weren't happy with the current terms provided, I believe last week's announcement was made to call their bluff in reconsidering a lower price/deal?

I reckon so, and I bloody hope so. We need development of some sort, somewhere, sharpish.

Let's make them an offer they can't refuse, like in the movie's ,or go to the mattresses.

The hardest tumble a man can make is to fall over his own bluff.
I believe we need them more than they need us. Dangerous and possibly stupid game if we are.

I think not. I still hope that something good comes of this and still have 100% faith in our leaders, but I feel uwe is dead. No refurbished mem I hope. "Un viable" I believe I heard haemar say in a interview near the start of his tenure to a re developed mem question. Not a pop at s.h but that stuck with me.

I believe you're living in false hope and we simply can't get close to what ever the UWE want, if we were calling their bluff to get a better deal why haven't we said that rather than simply saying the deals off to the press.

The way things have been left there seems zero public pressure on the UWE to do anything but tons of pressure on Wael to now do something. Perhaps Wael will say on Saturday talks are back on with the UWE but I fear he'll just confirm talks won;t re-commence.

GGMI I don't think a new stadium will ever happen I've been watching the gas for 50 years and we have had so many promises for a new stadium but what do we get a bit of painting done the toilets repaired another tent erected a new pitch and another bod who can't tell us what the he'lls going on with this club they ain't no better than the previous owners the way they have conducted themselves and I will watch the gas wherever they play even if it is up the downs.

After a few days to digest I personally think we (owners) have had their heads turned by another option. UWE were probably offered a take it or leave it offer. Hope I'm right because the mem footprint will not allow us to be ambitious enough to sustain higher level football IMO.

Personally, I think that the fact wael hasn't come out and said the whole deal is off (and effectively apologise to the fans in the process) suggests to me that we are trying to improve the deal and negotiations are still ongoing. Wael knows just how important this is for the club and wouldn't leave us feeling this dispondent and frustrated if it weren't for good cause (convincing UWE that we will pull out if it's not the right deal for us.) hamers interview was just enough to scare uwe that we've pulled out entirely but so many of his comments suggested it is still alive... one in particular stands out when talking about uwe: "...and they may well have missed the boat now". If the deal's dead in the water, surely he'd say "and they've missed the boat now". Ah the torture of the forever optimist!

No, I think the owners just lack the b*lls to take on and deliver such a big project, bankers don't take big risks unless their money is secured.
