Coleman has done a marvellous job at Stanley, twice.
Not so good at Rochdale or Southport in between those two spells, though. At Southport he lost his job because he kept losing his rag on the touchline! Would that kind of behaviour go down well here?
Sometimes a manager has a real affinity with a club and can’t match it elsewhere.

agree to an extent, but if/when DC goes we have to be smart about who we appoint. We don't want to hire someone who is going to rip up or ignore the foundations that DC and the club are putting in place, be that attitude, work ethic or the development squad and an internal appointment might be the right one An internal appointment would be a disaster because it would be the same all over again we need someone from at least championship experience and to bring a change in ways to the club Any idea how much a Manager with Championship experience would cost us? Guess it doesn't matter to you as long as DC goes.

If DC were to ever leave us, I would move heaven and earth to bring John Coleman from Accrington. What that bloke has achieved is nothing short of miraculous.
DC bangs on about how his teams have to constantly over achieve because of the budget, I wonder how Coleman manages his success. Accrington are one of only a handful of clubs that have a worse stadium than us, and their crowds are truly woeful, pathetic when compared to ours. I can only surmise that Coleman would be able to at least match DC's achievements if he was our manager. Perhaps even better them when you consider he has taken his team up, probably as Champions.

Lambert Legend ?? Very good player for us and a fans favourite , but in my opinion need to play more than 120 odd games to fall into that category. Having said that wouldn’t be opposed to him joining the coaching team. Lambo played around 155 times for us. And is most definitely a club legend. The best forward in my 35 years supporting and there have been some bloody good ones in that time.

What, you mean two promotions, best league finishes for years and a manager who when he leaves us will do so having improved us immeasurably from the shambles he took over? Yeah, that would be awful.

DC isn't going to leave us as he is an avid reader of our forum and he knows how much we love him. Isn't that right DC?

Same as what DC, Trollope, Holloway etc. Mark McGhee was a championship manager. Enough said.

Keith Curle set to leave Carlisle shortly.Ex Gas. I wouldn’t be keen on him and I don’t know why so many in here are talking like DC is off any day now. I know some players and perhaps some staff look on here from time to time I don’t think this thread is healthy and could start more bullshit rumours.

Bristol Rovers without DC would be like HMS Victory without Nelson.
Or the the USS Enterprise without Captain Kirk.
Or poppadoms without pickles.
Or Katie Price without huge boobs.
They can all manage to get by, but it just wouldn't be the same.

The Blackpool manager has done really well and very underrated.
Here is a Fleetwood fan of all people praising them;
"While some may not be aware, the off-field situation at the club has been truely mind blowing. The team itself is comprised of free's and loan players that most other clubs did not want. The pitch is something of a joke considering this is a recent prem club. The training facilty consists of a field with 2 pitches, one of which is usually waterlogged, this years improvements to it consisted of x1 porto-loo. The fans stay away in their droves so the home game atmosphere is nil. Yet despite all the above they have been competing at a good level. Not sure any other club could match this"

When DC took over he was dropped I the sh** but he managed to get us back to back promotions from the lower leagues and this is where is expertise and knowledge lies, but I am sure he does not have the knowledge and experience to take us any further So thank you DC for that but it is now time for us to move forward with a more experienced manager at the helm, DC,s best bet for the future would be to step up to a championship club as a number 2 and get the experience that way
