So much for Jackett not knowing anything about it. Best of luck to Browner, absolute club legend, He is joining a really great club in Pompey. A really consistent player for us and I’ll never forget his goal against D+R, He’s going to be hard to replace.

I'm sad to see him go, especially to a big rival. Thanks for all you have done for us Lee and I wish you good luck, but not against us obviously.

All the best to him. However with respect, surprised Pompey have come in for him. Fully expected him to end up in L2 or for a Wycombe/Wimbledon size club in L1.

Can't argue with the above but not sure he's that level of player personally.

Strange move as I'd say LB had reached his level as a mid Div 1 player, it'll be a bit of sickener if he's celebrating promotion next season with his new club if we've still stuck in Div 1. Great going forward, not so great against a quick right winger.

I think the fresh start will do him the world of good and he could link up quite well with the likes of Ronan Curtis and Louis Dennis.

Hardly closer to London is it? What 30 minutes?
We could have got a fee for Brown but have let our only LB go for free to a L1 play off rival.
We’re not very good at negotiating the release of our players at all are we?

He made it clear in his interviews that there were several factors in his decision to leave, not just the "closer to London" bit.

We’re not very good at negotiating the release of our players at all are we? His contract expires this summer, he didn’t want to sign a new one, there was absolutely nothing we could do but by all means use it to criticise the club. From listening to Brown’s interviews that he gave when it was announced he was leaving Rovers and now that he’s signed for Pompey, moving on for a new challenge was the biggest factor in his decision which is totally understandable after 7 years of loyal service for us. Good luck to him.
