The fact we still have 3 keepers concerns me that complacency has set in and we are just accepting the situation we are in. Perhaps we're planning to stick one of them up front?

If we don't sign anyone who is going to make a difference I'm not sure that I will bother going again this season. I didn't go to the Doncaster game because I thought, well I've seen enough crap already. And that was the first game I had missed at home in the last 8 seasons. I look at this team and there is little drive, a basic lack of understanding and whoever you play up front misses the easiest chances in the game. Clarke really **ed us signing these Payne and Nichols I was just about the press 'like' and then the final sentence came along. Is there anyway you can provide some analysis, but then not blame everything on DC and swear at our most successful manager for over 25 years?

So GC can’t find ONE player who can improve this squad.
So much for his ‘application for the job’ speech saying how well he knows league 1

I really expected us to make some early moves in the window to keep some sort of positive momentum.
Its all going back to pre Christmas mentality very rapidly

Couldn't agree more. At best a bench warmer or two on a months loan. Can't see us even getting them. Who on earth would want to join a club struggling to stay up, with zero facilities and a crap ground? This is it. And that's before we've told them the bad bits.

Haha they will save a few thousand but lose millions!l through relegation and lost ticket sales. Short sightedness at its best! Seriously want the owners to f@ck off right about now! If we the fans covered the loses we’d be in the same position going forward it seems! What on earth is going on? We are all being shafted to the highest degree!

I must admit I thought we'd sign a forward before the P'boro game (especially after the wycombe game) - this now looks very unlikely.
Very frustrating and disappointing.

If the window had closed today I would agree, however, we have not played a league game for over a week. We only have one more league game to play, until the window closes. So I would rather wait for the right player's. For all we know, we might be waiting on some of our targets. Clubs might not have said we can sign a player, once they complete a deal for a replacement. Wait until the window is closed, before moaning too much. Think a lot of our problems are due to the fact DC spent most of our budget. Yes we've let players go, but I doubt Broadbent was on much money. I doubt Aldershot can afford all Mensahs wages, so I expect we are still paying part of them. Unless we can move Smith on, we are left paying him and Slocombe who don't play. So I would be surprised if we get big movement, unless we can move more on. Hoping for one permanent a striker and 2 loans. A centre back to cover injuries and Lockyer when on international duty and a winger.

We've played 3 league games (two abysmal performances amongst them) since the window opened and haven't won one of those and are are currently in the relegation zone. The inaction so far is staggering to me. If we have to have "big movement" so be it, Wael should fund it and do whatever it take to keep in the division or give us the best possible chance. The majority of the squad are out of contract in 6 months so they can be binned off then.

So don't know if Wael can just add to the budget now. Think your submit your figures in June or July then you can amend in December. So don't think it's as easy as adding more money to the budget now. In 6 months GC or who ever is in charge cab to start again. But at the moment, we are in a mess. The budget was not spent wisely at all.

If we want to stay up this season, two or three signings are needed this week and not a last minute Joe Martin replacement but real quality that will add to the calibre of squad. At the minute I think we will fall short and worry that if we don’t improve our home form, we will be actually short of safety by a fair bit.
Our season really hangs in the balance, we are a decent defensive outfit and have the potential to pick up points in the latter half of the season but if we come away still lacking in the final third, I’m not looking forward to the rest of the campaign.
The owners need to show a little less ineptitude and more ambition to retain our league one status. We need them to put their hands in their pockets now more than ever.

I’d like to see us have a go for Billy Kee but we’ll probably end up with some kid from a championship u23 squad

We need to move Smith on, does he not want to go, or does nobody want him. Nichols has not even come off the bench in the league, during the last few games has he? So we need to move him on, but again, does anyone want him, who can afford his wages? Why I think we will sign a few cheap loans and hopefully a permanent striker, if we can move more player's out. SCMP includes signing bonuses as well, apparently we offered Rodman a great deal, according to Clough. So how much of our budget did that take up? A lot of our budget used up on player's, that have not been worth it. Think GC wants to go quality over quantity next season. Which is why academy player's will be making up most of the development squad.

I think the main issue is the budget is fully used up,especially as the owner has made it clear we will be staying within the scmp rules. We have only been able to get minor players off the wage bill so its hardly freed up much extra cash for coughlan. Were desperate for a striker at the very least.
