Rumours of Ellis Harrison going out on loan by Thursday Strange there are none about it on their fans forum!

Thought the club was going to be run in a more professional way. Evolution confidentiality clauses and LACK of leadership has finally hit home to most fans... The owners have succeed in alienating a large part of the fanbase and i predict toxic times ahead

This makes for a depressing read but I'm starting to come round to some of the more critical posters point of view. We've not progressed since finishing 10th in L1 and over the last year or so a cloud has been over the club. Really hope we can snap out of it but as long as we don't make serious plans to upgrade the infrastructure and underinvest in the playing squad, things are just going to get worse. Success and ambition are linked, we had a lot of both in DC's heyday but since the AQ's cancelled UWE, successive players left and slowly the momentum ebbed away. The powers that be need to realise this and put their hands in their pockets to stop the decline, I fear that in GC we aren't going to have a manager that asks questions of them and put pressure on them, which is frustrating. He seems like a nice guy and means well, but he really is just a puppet.

I know a few fans that have cosied up to our owners since they have come in, because of their press and sports media links, surely that sort of fan/person can see that we are being strung along.
And the person who mentioned there was a consortium back in October, and Wael hung on, if true that is one selfish decision if evolution means letting us got at bottom of the league unable to sign players.
Said it before, if this lot are in charge next season, after this window of no activity and we are relegated, I will NOT be renewing my ticket. No way I'm getting my money out to support these owners.

Rumours of Ellis Harrison going out on loan by Thursday Thought you said Sercombe was off to Pompey.... I heard Pompey wanted him but the board not willing to sell, as you can hear GC saying today clubs have come in for a few players... Ex agent on twitter has said Harrison to go on loan and he seems pretty straight with what he posts and what actually happens

Related to signings, I don't think I would be alone in feeling more than pi$$ed off if we lost one or more senior player in the last few hours of transfer window.
If a player wants out then fine, go now ffs.

I think its been clear for all to see where are problems have been all season. Christ, If I can see it so can the management. They can, as did DC. Both DC and GC have said they need or needed more goals, and sadly failure to bring anyone is is accepting relegation.
Ask yourself one question - Who is going to get the goals to keep us up?
The club has made well over £100k from the Checkatrade. Probably 150k. This would NOT have been budgeted for (unless the accountant was stupid, which I'm sure would not be the case. They would have budgeted for elimination at the first hurdle, (its called accounting prudency). So dont blame Financial Fair Play.
GC has moved into DC's job, surely on less money.
The management team supporting him have all come from the Development set up (Hargreaves, Dutton) neither of which has been replaced.
Im sorry, not bringing in anyone with our scoring record as it is is simply not acceptable. The club is 22nd in League 1 and as at today is the ONLY CLUB in this divsion not to have brough anyone in during this window.
I supported the owners until recently, Im afraid that support has now gone.
I really hope that more people come to understand what is going on at the club, no doubt some will still cling to the line that its "all DC's fault" but I have no doubt that given time even they will see what is happening.
Not bringing in a couple of strikers is accepting relegation. It may be the straw that breaks the camels back for many people

Its not disimilar to 10-15 yeares ago ago when we are facing the Conference. The board had an emergency meeting on a sunday and earmarked 100k from the Share scheme and went out and got 5 players on loan close to deadline day.
It was just before Atkins joined us and kept us in the League.
I think this time we are more likely to have an emergency board meeting to accept a bid for Sercombe or Lockyer.

Don't forget we had to pay DC off, still had 4 years left on his contract, so it wouldn't have been cheap. When they say its mutual agreement just means they agree on the pay off figure.

Yes DC would have had a settlement but I doubt that would be as a lump sum.
Also dont forget Martin has gone back, and Broadbent has gone.
We were told players would have to leave, and they have.

DC signed in July 2016. So was 2 years 5 months into five year contract, so another 2+ years to go. I think. UTG!

Completely agree with you. It's very frustrating and a bit stupid that we haven't brought in a striker well before the game tonight - he could have had several training sessions since Wycombe game to get familiar with squad and playing style - but nothing. We can only hope that we get this player in the end.

And there you have the difference. We can all argue about the competence/decision making of previous owners but at the end of the day they CARED about the club. They had more invested in it than just money. It is not the same now and Our only hope is that there is still enough common sense left in the board to realise that they won't benefit from the club being relegated

I voted for No Perms, and 1 loan signing. So I hold my hands up, I was wrong! I wasn't expecting two of our current forward players to leave though, however Payne replaced by JCH is a positive. Bennett replaced by nobody is disappointing.
