I know we can all be hopeful that we'll stay up, but do you realistically and trying to be as unbiased as possible think we'll go down?
For me? I don't think we will.
Although AFC Wimbledon have shown promise recently I think they're definites to go down. Although a bit more likely to stay up I think Bradford are almost definites too, they haven't had any impressive results for weeks.
Rochdale seem to be on a real slump of form as well, lost 5-1 today against Plymouth who aren't that much higher in the table.
I think Rochdale will go down.
Which leaves what I think are the remaining candidates for the final spot: Rovers, Oxford, Walsall, Shrewsbury and Gillingham.
I think Gillingham will stay up because of Eaves, Oxford have had some really impressive results in the past few weeks too. Walsall are on terrible form, I think one of the worst in the league. Shrewsbury got a lot of players in January that I think will work out.
If we can improve our home form, even slightly so it isn't the 23rd best in the league (only 2 points above Wimbledon in 24th), we'll definitely stay up. But as long as we continue our great away form I think we will. Scunthorpe, Gillingham and Plymouth are 3 of our next 5 five games, all away. Could easily get 7 or even 9 points imo.
If I had to predict, I think Shrewsbury/Walsall.

Really hope I'm wrong though, just don't see four worse teams.

I’m sorry but I see nothing other than relegation, I honestly can’t see us being better than 4 other teams in this division, we can’t win at home and are so inconsistent. We also look like we have ran out of ideas and have started playing hoofball with backwards and sideways passing. Hope I’m wrong , but I think it’s league 2 for us next season.

Saw the other day Coventry might be expelled from the football league if they don't find a new ground they'll get expelled from the football league, they've got until April. If that happens, could that potentially mean only 3 relegation spots?

Play like that gutless performance today and we will go down for sure

Although can anybody seriously see Coventry been expelled. Back to the OP, I can't see how we will stay up if we can't win any of our home games, the Luton & Barnsley games are now looking home bankers, plus probably Blackpool & Charlton, so the games we even have a chance of winning at the Mem are Bradford & Rochdale.

The way we're playing. The mood at the Mem. I've seen us relegated enough times to know that we're playing in League 2 next season.

Depends which Rovers team turns up , put in performances like Pompey away & we’ve every chance of staying up but too many more flat offerings like today & we are doomed.

I don't get it, Tuesday vs today, both winnable and certainly should have got more than a point this week. That we didn't shows we still have a problem and haven't turned that elusive corner. OK, both were top 6 teams but in both we had advantages we simply couldn't capitalise on. We were woefully predictable today and Sunderland didn't even need to try that hard to get their 3 points. Genuinely worried as can't see where our wins will come from in the next 13 league games. Slightly unusual run of results of the 4 teams above us but we are very much in the sh** now I think and it risks being out of our hands. Feel very sad about it TBH

Sadly it's been downhill all season and if we stay up it will probably all come down to the last game at home, goal difference may just save us unless we start shipping fours and fives, sad times watching rovers at the moment 🤨

At the Mem only the "flat" team usually terms up, perhaps that issue was something the BoD should really have taken into consideration before giving GC such a long contract.

The table does not lie, we are where we are because we have no quality and our recruitment was bad! We could have Alex Ferguson in charge but still go down. The board have made a mistake giving GC a two and a your contract. I do not question his passion but he is tactically inept.

I don't know what to think tbh. It's easy to be disheartened after today but I came away from Tues night feeling confident we'll stay up. I think regardless of what happens, it is going to the wire.

That’s what I think , for the rest of the season every time we win most will think we’re stsying up and when we lose they’ll say we’re going down. I think it’ll go down to the last game or two. I’d say it’s 50/50

Despite the disappointment of today and other results going against us I still think we'll stay up but it will be a struggle. I agree that our recruitment has been poor but most of that was down to DC who sadly became the tactically inept one (more so than GC!).

After today's gutless offering I am convinced league two awaits us next season. Hoofball against a very average side today irrespective of their League position was a total embarrassment. How our manager thought that would be a successful tactic is beyond me and five or six players out there today should be ashamed of themselves. Lets be honest, we would not have scored if we had been there all night, we were that poor and I could have been between the sticks for Sunderland and kept a clean sheet Our home record has been consistently dire all season and with the likes Of Luton and Barnsley still to play at the Mem, I can't see it improving enough to save us.

there will be a few ups and downs till seasons end and we must not get to triumphant after a good result or to downcast after each bad result just hold on tight and we will be above that line come seasons end, even if it means needing a point from the last game ,we have to stay positive, up the Rovers!!

Regardless of what League we're in next season, GC is not the man to take us forward for me.
Applaud and respect his passion and effort but I wasn't happy with his appointment at the time and still feel the same as I did then.
A 2 and a half year contract was very baffling.
