You didn’t answer the question. I did, you’re just selective with your posts and statistics. Tony Craig would prove his worth and play at Centre Half with someone alongside him. But since garner left he has been played all over the shop hence his drop in form. Tisdale played him at RB, RWB, Centre half. Some of us have children older than Max, the guy is 28 and gives his all for gods sake.

First league game of the season we started with Hanlan up front and drew 1-1 away to Sunderland Tut tut.. That wasn't the first competitive match of the season....why don't you do your research, it's so boring! 😁 Haha! No it was the first league game of the season. A league that we are about to be relegated from. You don’t play your best side in the EFL cup or trophy. Tisdale did that and Jakkola hasn’t played since.

Let’s be honest we’re never gonna be in the market for a proven league 1 goalscorer, probably not even league 2, these players go for serious money and we just can’t compete. I’d say a player like Hanlan is about the best we could hope for other than taking a punt on a non league player or one not wanted elsewhere. Goalscorers are the hardest thing to find and a good one makes the difference between a poor league 1 team or a decent one. Having the leagues best striker in JCH turned us from relegation candidates to a top half team. How many strikers have we signed in the last 20 years and how many have actually turned out to be any good? Piggott was publicly advertised for less than £500k....? Now he'll almost certainly go for a free, especially if Wombles are relegated.

What with his soundbites and cliches, Climbing Everest? No just beat a rubbish team in Swindon. Small steps. The performances and chances created have been decent Swindon up next , must win game. What are you basing that on? Genuinely. What is your thought process as to why JB will be so good for us?

BG played a very similar side in the Sunderland match too....it wasn't as "not playing your best side" as you lead us to believe. And to start a competitive match with NO strikers? When have we ever done that?

He's hit double figures already this season.

And his form hasn’t been the same since as he got totally destroyed and if memory serves me right, I think Garner played Alfie at left back as well, Please correct me if I’m wrong on that one as it means I’m losing the plot even more than I thought.

I think he did, certainly remember him playing right back, centre back in a 2 and left sided centre back in a 3.

We've got someone that is staring up Ben Garner's colon every day vs someone who manages these players on a day to day basis I know who I believe.

The fact he only signed inexperienced strikers surely backs that view up? He signed Hanlan...experienced at League 1 to the tune of 80 odd games. On top of that how does anyone know who and what Garner put forward to sign to Widdrington and Starnes? Thought he wore the No 7 shirt and played as a winger. Gills supporters couldn’t believe we were playing him as a No 9 and our main striker. The main comment being that he wasn’t a finisher - not wrong were they?

our mistake was making too many changes too soon bg was given carte blanc with the team he brought in i think at the time most of us thought we, could,i say would have a half tidy side i've not watched any live games, apart from the cup games, which i thought we did rather well tisdale came in and i thought he could have done a good job, given time, but it was not to be ,and anyway was he really wanted. i must be honest and say i was scepticle about joey bartons appointment but somewhere along the line someone has to reinvent this team, relegation or not. after a lot of self searching i really think that jb is the right man for the job whether i am right or wrong is anybodys guess but i am right behind jb up the gas!

I also believe he’s played at left back of a back four sometime this season as i recall he’s been on the left side more than once this season.

Alfie was bunged out as RWB too under BG.... another brilliant idea from the manager whom never played or managed prior!?
