Out of his depth ? Admittedly results under him hsvent been anywhere near what any of us would have wanted but you aren't seriously suggesting he's a worse manager than Garner ? Garner took a side flying and somehow turned them into a lower mid table side whereas Barton took over a side already struggling, with key players out and couldn't turn them around. Surely you can see the difference ? Yes, I can see the difference, under Garner our ppg was good enough to avoid relegation, under Barton our ppg guaranteed relegation. Barton IS the worse manager in the football league, FACT. Are you Carlts in disguise?

I was 100% wrong about Barton we never should have appointed him. We were blinded by his stature and profile. Hes come in and inspired absolutely nothing. Hes not a nice guy, he’s incredibly arrogant and bad for the reputation of the club. Hes shown nothing to indicate he will take us forward and whilst i wouldnt rule out a success Season under him next season it woukd be at what cost to our status and reputation?. There is only one person i would trust to sort us out who has the track record and genuine love for the club. One person who could unite everyone and one person who deserves the chance the chance to manage us with an improved infrastructure and that is DC. Id go all out to bring him and Marcus Stewart back but this time give them more support in recruitment and a huge budget to go with the new training ground. I’m certainly not against Barton , hoping once he puts his own squad together things will improve , agree totally re- DC . Utg 💙

I just want football to feel amazing again. Just a connection between staff and fans and for us to all be on the same page. I dont like having managers that split the fan base.

Performances haven’t improved, it’s just that some are so dazzled and entranced by Bartons celebrity they want to believe his BS in his after match comments. Under Barton we have gone backwards and that is the only reason we have been relegated, under Garner we would definitely have survived, under Tisdale possibly so...under Barton our demise has been inevitable. How can you say under Garner we would have survived. When he was sacked after 11 games we were 3 points above the relegation zone. If you then take the previous season into account, his results added to this season would have seen us relegated. Irrelevant, it’s what happened this season which matters...and his record is significantly better than Bartons, which is the worst in all 92 clubs in the football league, FACT.

Since he came here, what about his overall record ? What he achieved elsewhere is irrelevant...I used to be much younger. Of course its relevant, you're claiming Barton is the worst manager in the football league based on his record solely with us. By that logic you could argue anyone is the best/worst manager depending on their current run of form, so Garner was the worst manager in the league last season ? I was also younger once

It's a pity you can't accept the players that BG assembled are sh**e and are the reason we have been relegated. Three managers failed to motivate them and arguably JB did not have the benefit of being able to select all of them due to injuries and the loss of Nicholson was the loss of the only player who could score goals and create goals for others.

I accept what you say about the recruitment, all I’m saying is both Garner and Tisdale achieved more with them than Barton...and that is a fact based upon ppg, which is all that counts. All football managers have to cope with player unavailability due to injuries and I very much doubt the gap of 0.4 ppg between Garner and Barton would have been made up by everyone being available.

The manager has to stay for a period now. We cant afford another one to leave or we will truly be a basket case of a club . It's already at 5 if you include widdrington since dec 2019.the quality of manager we need will not want to know and we will up like Oldham not knowing who is in charge by the game.it has and needs to be a period of calm for this year

At least it isn’t just blind faith...11 points, 16 games=0.6875 ppg and you seriously want to entrust the future of our club to the holder of such a sad, inadequate, miserable record?

Yes quite happy knowing he won't assemble such a sad, inadequate, miserable squad of players like the one he inherited at BRFC. Looking back our club appointed a manager called Ben Garner who had a PPG record of 0.00 per game before he joined us. I would suggest the way that turned out was total blind faith.

Ah, the benefit of hindsight. Pretty sure most of us thought the recruitment last summer was good business.

Just hope if we sack Barton like Gaschat wants we don’t replace him with someone like Sean Dyche - his PPG this week is worse than Barton’s and a worse goal difference.

Don't be under any illusion, that JB took the job as his ego convinced him that his superior coaching and management abilities would be enough to save us from relegation, and be hailed as a hero.
Well, when that obviously wasn't going to plan, he does the usual diversion tactics of blaming everything else as his over inflated ego cannot accept his failings. Blame the ref, blame recruitment, blame limited training opportunities. He knew what the squad was like, knew the fixtures, knew officials at this level can be inconsistent. All managers do this, DC included.
If GC had been given 16 matches to save us, we would have ground out at least a point a match. Not pretty, but nobody was there to watch anyway.
