Just out of interest what would change people’s minds? If Rovers won 4/6 games with 2 draws from here would the JB out people be prepared to keep him and give him a chance, conversely if we lost 4/6 and drew 2 would the JB in people accept that the decision has been a poor one. I realise some are anti him for his off field actions so I guess those will never change but what about those who are judging him on his football? Football wise, I'd say top 10 by Christmas with a genuine chance to push on and a bit of humility in his interviews. Yes I could live with that Stuart. I actually think if we do start to go on a good run (perhaps we have) then the negative stuff from Barton will end because he no longer has to be defending himself (in an aggressive way) and blaming others. It might look like a whole new Joey B, for a while. Court cases trump all the above, of course.

Aren't we becoming consistent? And a new Manager will do exactly that, tear it apart. Garner anyone? Swindon look a bit more consistent than us, atm. Can't argue with that. Works for him and his squad, didn't for us.

Beat Newport Saturday, that'll be 8 from 12 without a loss. Worth giving the Guy a few more games?

It's not about Barton's ability as a manager (pretty awful though it is) it's his ability (or lack of it) to be a decent human being. I would have stuck with BG or PT though I wasn't over impressed with the way they ran the team but I do agree that consistency is what is required to move this club forward. It just can't be with Barton. He is a nasty, narcissistic, blame everyone but himself, angry piece of work and needs to be got rid of as soon as possible. I'm sure there's been lots of nasty pieces of work in Football over the years, taking bribes, corruption, illegal betting, etc etc. Not defending him, but he's not alone. Thing is, the Club comes first, it's a results business, would we be better off bringing in someone new and starting again, or sticking with him as like it or not, the points and performances are starting to come in. stick with him and luckily Wael thinks that and that's all what matters

Add Finners to that team and we should start rising above the chaff.
We still look well dodgy at the back though, maybe Hughes will come back in as the leader we expected?

we could win the champions league and they would still want him out ! Not trying to win the UCL, Henbury. Just trying to have a good pop at getting out of League 2 is good for me and s o far we’ve been sh**e.agree with this but we did play some good attacking play, shame about the sh&t defence !

Very disappointing to have to settle for a point after we totally dominated the game. Should have wrapped the match up with the chances we had, we only got ourselves to blame. We were probably the better side especially in the second half but belshaw made at least two good saves I don’t remember their keeper having a save to make other than the goal ? They’re probably saying how did they not win it, footballs like that. I was impressed with how much more direct and attacking we looked in the second half though. Weve actually become harder to beat at last after a clusterfuck 2 years. I remember us hitting the post, all the Saves Bello made were due to our own failings wouldnt say they opened us up. Even the goal was a strike outside the box, most of those end up in row Z. You'd say that we should have closed him down but then the one Collins put in the stands was an easier chance, its just small margins

Results are getting better though right? As are performances? Hell of a risk to get rid just as it seems things might be coming together? At last. Not for me, we will get results against the poorer teams in this division in spite of Barton, not because of him This.
Reading all the comments on this thread, the picture I get is.... when results are getting better and performances too, it is because of JB. But when we get a bad result or performance, it is because of the players and not JB.

He could get found guilty of knocking his wife about and there would still be fans wanting him to stay.. I mean; have you seen the flags celebrating the fact he stubbed a cigar out on some kid's eye? "Bring out the cigars" ahh the lefty snowflakes won't like this .. heeeeeey

Had we not had the red maybe this area would have been covered?

Your "cigar in some kids eye" as if those trying to back the guy thinks this is ok is a pretty sh1t thing to say. But if that's what gets you going....fine. Starting to see why members are giving this place a rest.

Who's "they" as most of the regular forum posters appear quite balanced in their views? Just because we're not all begging Wael to sack Barton every time we drop pts and highlighting his previous crimes on every thread doesn't mean we'd support him regardless of our league status.
