Once a season ticket or match day ticket has been scanned once for that particular match, a second scan will show red. The tech does work but some people (the minority)still try to abuse the system. Show red but still let you in? Ridiculous if so I don't think the OP's inferring that's the case, I understand if red light is displayed you get referred to a supervisor, or that's how it's supposed to work, as clearly the club has no control if a turnstile operator decides to just wave a fan through.

Why are they waving them through after it shows red? Are they being offered a little incentive at the turnstiles?

Wow! This seems to have got everybody’s knickers in a twist! For clarity again, I have no issue with people using others ST as they have been paid for. I think it is naughty to sneak in as an oap or youth and I think it is wrong to use a ticket multiple times and get in for free. All I’m saying is that I don’t think it’s crime of the century and that 87% of you arguing with me statistically break other laws (probably more) so find it funny you are so upset! Interesting that you get to pick and choose which rules you want to follow and which you get on your high horses about.

I've done the maths and statistically speaking, 99% of people think it's wrong for that 1% to self justify breaking the law in any walk of life.
Tax dodgers should be prosecuted. Any trade that offers a 20% discount for cash should be reported to HMRC. They are breaking the law and should face the consequences. Anyone who knowingly fills a tax return incorrectly to save tax is breaking the law and should face the consequences.
If I Rob your house and don't get caught, that is OK as other people get away with it?
We all have our own levels of standard on these things. However, it is the small minority who can justify this to themselves that ruin it for everyone else.

The only stat I have used referenced the number of people speeding to illustrate many people break the rules and that statistically some of those were arguing the toss despite breaking rules themselves. The statistic I quoted came from the government website showing vehicle speed compliance so wasn’t just made up. I get it that you do no wrong, you don’t speed, if you are charged incorrectly you tell them and pay up, you never added a few too many penny sweets. The reality is most people do things that someone else would not approve of but getting outraged is pointless when you look at the bigger picture.

I can only see loss of revenue for the club that I love. Who knows, if we had that revenue in January we could've brought in an additional midfielder. That could have been the difference between looking at the top six, rather than looking over our shoulder at the bottom 4. Tell me, what is the bigger picture for Bristol Rovers? If its Beer or Pasty sales, don't forget they only get to keep the profit on those items. Whereas with the ticket it would be 100% additional profit (ceteris paribus).

End of the day it’s rough for everyone right now with cost of living, cost of everything.
Most of us buy our ST’s or match day tickets in the correct price bracket as is, what makes anyone else so special they get to blag a few quid off or at worst knowingly gain access free of charge? Scabs.

Option of Ticket Exchange is great for ST holders, BUT the option to pass your ticket to friend/family if you are unable to attend shouldnt be lumped in with the other things they are trying to stop.
TE is great tho, agreed with my brother neither would go to Wycombe (I cant attend) so both tickets now on exchange and (assuming they sell as very few in the East stand seats) thats another £20 off the season ticket renewal we are about to purchase.

Corrr lots of perfect people on here who have never done anything wrong. Definitely don’t ever break the speed limit or anything getting right on their high horse. Backing indefinite bans for fans getting in a couple of quid cheaper while backing the same club to have (and pay) a first team coach who got banned from football for betting on games he could directly affect the outcome of and a manager convicted of violent crimes. Rank hypocrisy if you ask me!

Rank hypocrisy if you ask me! Who's actually backing indefinite bans on this thread? All fans are saying is the club needs to take some action to stop fans abusing the ticketing system, if they don't then we all might as well join them and just get Juvenile or OAP tickets in future.
