Thought Joe spoke very well In post match interview. Utg ๐ I thought so also. Him as our manager confuses me so much. One minute I want him gone, then the next Im in full support of him. I wanted him as manager post PT.I thought his words on last seasons squad were brave, non PC but Correct. But I did feel that he downed tools too early and let relegation just happen.I didn't like that. But as manager I don't think he has said anything that offends me, or that he has crossed the line with.People talk about his ego etc...nah I still don't see it.Its like he is pure evil and the devil.Him telling the press and fans that we will/ can get promoted is not ego but rather is confidence.I would rather him talk like that then when Paul Buckle told us to lower our standards in L2 when he was our manager!! I actually believe JB respects our club, history and the potential size of our fanbase. I also believe he respects Wael as well. Now that being said, he has two court cases up coming and that is not good.If he is proven guilty of wife beating then he is a piece of sh** and I want him gone and I will be as anti Barton as the next person. But it's inocent until proven guilty. My main issues is our results, but there are signs of us improving and as some one said Earlier if we keep this mini run up we will end up in the playoffs. I think if JB gets off his courts cases, and results continue to pick up then I don't see why many won't support him in the future. I think his past as a large premier star always goes against him, like his words last week.

I thought he had returned to us as this year pre JB as some kind of coach?
I remember seeing him with the PA match day guy on the pitch during lockdown season for a you tube pre/post game show.

What does he have to apologize for tho? It would appear that Barton has a finer grasp of the English language than those calling him an idiot. He said โa holocaustโ not โthe Holocaustโ. Nothing to apologise for when you look at it in those terms. If you are saying that because the word was not preceded by โtheโ itโs ok. Try putting Holocaust into your browser and see what comes up. Itโs an evocative word for all the wrong reasons however itโs used. Nope there is a very big difference between the use of a pecific or particular nouns. Barton used "a" Holocaust rather than "The" Holocaust. A Simple..Fact. So anyone trying to twist his words are using slander to fit within there anti JB agenda. He is being hung to dry due to the use of the word Holocaust rather the intent within his speech. I think he is a dumbass for this use of this language ( even though I very much doubt he had any bad intent when said) I think JB is our 2nd worst manager ever and I would like him removed. However, he is the target for the PC brigade whenever he blinks, and that's before, during as well as after his spell as Bristol Rovers manager.

I donโt think it is down to the club to apologise for Joey Bartonโs comments, That needs to come from the man himself. Maybe the club are waiting for him to do so, or maybe this time Joey has dug himself too big a hole to get himself out of and he might have to walk. What does he have to apologize for tho? It would appear that Barton has a finer grasp of the English language than those calling him an idiot. He said โa holocaustโ not โthe Holocaustโ. I'm sure if the fans protested on the pitch ( I'm not saying doing this or justifying doing it) or outside the ground, then I very much think that Joey Barton would walk. If he was genuine about offering his job into Wael a few weeks ago he would just leave I think if that were to happen as that would damage his ego. I think Sir Wael needs to act now and get rid of JB and all the board from the start of new season otherwise as a club we are heading into non league again and that would finish our club. We are a complete mess in every area of our club. Not every area, the sausage rolls are good. They are,did my bollocks of two of them at the Carlisle game... gorgeous tho. My farts were amazing the next day...lol

This is a genuine question here, but would the reaction had been that same if JB had something about a Nuclear Bomb being dropped on our goal or something else like that given what happened in Japan in WW2?

I'm sorry.Out of ANY BIG city club/ semi big town club in the UK and I include the mighty Newcastle Utd...we are the most uninvested, unsuccessful club out of them all.Port Vale,Stoke Bristol City, Notts county, the Sheffield clubs, Cardiff, Swansea, Plymouth, Portsmouth......Etc.. Etc.. All of them at some point in there history have have more success then us or investment in there clubs and development on there grounds etc. Until LAST season with the quarters we have never had any. We are a club playing at least one level, maybe two below our potential in terms of city size and fanbase potential. We have 3 sh** tents as stands yet whenever we are doing well we get 9-11k per week in L1/L2 and have taken 39k and 42k to our last two big finals in 2007.. and 30k to a non league final in 2015 - when I think it was Preston and Swindon to much less fans than we did in there playoff finals in the championship and L1 respectfully that same season. We always are well supported away from home, but have not progressed during the history of our club so we will clearly lose some of our future fanbase with BCFC in a much better position then us. City are now doubling our gates due to the new Ashton Gate and championship footy/ landsdown.Dont forget those fuckers were getting 9k/12k in league one for 15/10 years before Gary Johnson got them to the championship around 2006/7. We as a fanbase just except that we are always going to be "Rag bag Rovers" from the Bath days and that holds us back. We have the most unfulfilled potential of any club from any of the Big city clubs in the UK. We have done, or have nothing to our name. View AttachmentAnd I'm not sure if that's meant to be a "Barton out dig" but he is right in everything he has said about our fanbase and us underachieving. I just doubt he is the man to get us going.

Our support is genuinely not as good as made out to be fair. Our away support is good - not incredible, but good. Home support has been awful, a city the size of Bristol we should be attracting more for league football. That said city donโt get gates as big as Iโd expect either despite dwarfing ours. Ironically, its pretty much 6 years to the day when we got beat at home by Newport 4-1. I remember there were calls for DC to go after that game. I think he was given time because he got us promoted. Which is fair enough, and it was the correct decision as we ended up getting promoted again. That's where the similarities end. That squad had Billy Bodin, Matty Taylor, Ellis Harrison, Jermaine Easter, Tom Lockyer, Lee Brown etc who would all walk into this team. When you add in, Bartons shocking record since he took the job, it's almost like Chalk & Cheese I remember that game well as a Gas fan that I used to work but didn't know on a personal level dropped down with had a heart attack right next to me behind the centenry Terrace/stand and was pretty much dead apart from having the luck that the heart foundation was there that day and had the right equipment to save him. Will remember that moment for the rest of my Life.Horrible moment... Also remember a goal kick getting blown back for a corner after a GK took one and it got to the half way line but got blown back out of play due to the strong wind that game.

What a fking joke, u could see it coming the last ten minutes. Harries could surely tell he was going to get booked and just chucked it in. We've had no control If it was a 2nd booking for that then we should throw the book at him. Cost us two points, simple.

Tonight actually is a very important game.
Get a victory and that could put us in the top 10 and then it's a completely different feeling going into a home fixture at the weekend.
Even the most hardened of Barton haters would have to feel a little switch.
Win tonight and then that's 3 wins, 1 draw and a lose in the last five games right?

I went to go to Mangotsfield today as they were online at home to melksham today, got outside ground and everything is closed and the game is next week. Only a 15 min walk from mine, so having a pint in my way home.๐ At least someone round here has a plan B I've got a plan C also, but includes sambuca but I need to wait until 5pm as God will judge..๐

What will you fuckers do if JB goes on a winning run and we are top of the table in May? I was pro JB taking the job, then after his time here I wanted/want him go but I'm not calling for us to lose in order to get that. The bigger issue is getting our club back in L1 asap and then trying to push onto the championship. That lot down the road are pulling away from us in every area and if we are not careful we are going to lose another generation of fans if we are stuck in L1/2 and they are in the premiership, and that one day will happen. Some of us fuckers won't go to Rovers again until he is gone. And yeah, that includes any theoretical promotions you invent. Well that's your problem then, not mine. That's blind hate towards him regardless of if he were to succeed here or not...Thats very similar to what happened with Little Lee at City a few years ago. As I said,I would rather JB be gone at 5pm tonight but that is very unlikely to happen so I like always I want the gas to win.
