I usually cycle to the mem, unfortunately the facilities certainly at my last visit (may) were not great. There is one bicycle parking section next to the Memorial gates with enough space for approx. 8 bicycles (at a push!) I'm not aware of any other designated area, but know railings down the side of the east terrace entrance are also sometimes used but not official parking, so there is a risk of removal.
Hopefully the club do look to expand on this in the near future given the push towards environmental awareness and of course with fuel prices I expect more will chose to travel by bicycle too.

Cycling is my main form of transport when going to the Mem.
there are a measly 3 or 4 bike metal (n) rack bars just inside the gates near the car park (middle entrance from Filton Ave). Other than that you can lock your bikes to the fences along the East terrace. Not tried to park along the west side as it's not much fun traversing a bike through the crowd outside the bar/ticket office.
There are certainly not enough racks for the amount of bikes (especially weekend matches), but you should be able to lock your bike up onsite somewhere!

INTERVIEWER - "It obviously begs the question, where has that performance been over the last couple of months?" TOMMY - "It’s the $64,000 question isn’t it? Where has that been all this time? At the end of the day I think clear planning, messages, knowing the players and what they’ve got and trusting the players is the most important thing because they can do it at this level. The fans will look at players and think where have they come from and who are they? But there’s a lot of due diligence that goes on behind the scenes here to make sure we give whoever is in position the right tools." Is there anything in that figure he mentions? "64,000" Seems oddly specific unless its a metaphor I'm not aware of. The sixty-four-thousand-dollar question: A question that is very important and difficult or complex to answer. Taken from the title of the 1950's television game show based on the earlier radio program Take It or Leave It, which popularized the phrase "the sixty-four-thousand-dollar question." Well I've learnt something today! Thank you Gripper

I like looking at stats, so for anyone else that is interested here's some rubbish that may or may not come to fruition There is still 60 points to play for. Since our return to League one in 2016 the closest season in terms of current points is the 2018/2019 season where we saw DC sacked and replaced by GC. After 26 games we were on 27 points (3 more than current) after the remaining 20 games we ended up finishing 15th on 54pts. GC took over from DC after the 21st game where we had 17pts on the board (5 less than we had this season at the 21st game mark). GC managed the remaining 25 games achieving 9 wins, 10 draws & 6 losses (37 points from a possible 75). PT has been in charge for 15 games and has achieved 3 wins, 3 draws and 9 losses (12 points). For "fun" applying that kind of avg. over the remaining 20 games we could expect another 4 wins, 4 draws & 12 losses (16 points). Bringing us to a final total of 43 points. Looking at the tables from league one and what is needed to avoid relegation (finishing in 20th place) 19/20 35pts* (ignoring this from the avg as its an anomaly due to Covid & Bury) 18/19 50pts 17/18 51pts 16/17 50pts 15/16 50pts 14/15 52pts Avg. pts to stay up over last 5 years* has been 50.6pts call it a rounded 51pts. On current form we would therefore fall short by 6pts.

So after a bit of debate on the matter in a different post I think this is the current state of play with our squad size: # | Loan | U21 | Squad | 1 | Kyle Bennett | Luke McCormick | Jordi van Shotstopper | 2 | Tom Davies | James Daly | Anssi Jaakkola | 3 | Michael Kelly | Ali Koiki | Joe Day | 4 | Luca Tomlinson | Zain Walker | Luke Leahy | 5 | Tom Meheq | Liam Armstrong | David Tuntonda | 6 | Kieran Phillips | . | Cian Harries | 7 | Alexis Andre | . | Jack Baldwin | 8 | . | . | Alfie Kilgour | 9 | . | . | Max Ehmer | 10 | . | . | George Williams | 11 | . | . | Josh Hare | 12 | . | . | Mark Little | 13 | . | . | Josh Barrett | 14 | . | . | Josh Grant | 15 | . | . | Abu Ogogo | 16 | . | . | Cam Hargreaves | 17 | . | . | Alex Rodman | 18 | . | . | Ed Upson | 19 | . | . | Zain Westbrooke | 20 | . | . | Ben Liddle | 21 | . | . | Sam Nicholson | 22 | . | . | Erhun Oztumer | 23 | . | . | Brandon Hanlan | 24 | . | . | Jonah Ayunga |
As you can see we have 2 places over the limit of 22 which means we need to get more off the books (sold or loaned out) or we just don't register them as a player and they continue to take a wage but don't get to play for us. If we want this striker in, we need to offload 3 players to not be wasting money. 6 days to go! I feel that Upson, if it's his hamstring gone may well be out for months therefore probably wont be registered but will recover while on full pay. Not sure of Jaakkola's injury but if its bad, then we might have the same situation there. Rumours on twitter over the past couple of weeks have seen Tutonda, Hargreaves and Rodman all been linked to moves away but not sure there is anything else really to suggest this is likely to happen. I think if we are now a team that plays 3412 then Tutonda might be back in favour although we still have Koiki who can play there too so a loan would not be too surprising in that area (interesting that Koiki wasn't on the bench.. that being said he is 21 and can play a few differnt roles so i guess no point in loaning him out) Who do you think will go on loan / sold / left out the squad? How does it work with players like McCormick his birthday was 21st Jan he turned 22. Will he now also count towards the limit?
