Agreed.
The truth is, pretty much every striker signed in the lower leagues is a gamble, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. White and Cunnington haven't worked so DC is trying something else.
Historic scoring rates are largely irrelevant as sometimes it clicks and sometimes it doesn't. With a few exceptions, you look at the high scorers in the lower leagues at the moment Hylton at Oxford, Akinde before Alfreton, and their scoring rate is 1 in 5 or 6.
We have to trust our manager to predict who it will click with for us.

I'd have him back, play him up front with Easter and we'd win the league.

I genuinely couldn't give a rats ar5e how we play if we win. Come on ! you must care a little bit !? Not one iota, never have! Probably says more about me than anything.

That said, we have 2 weeks now before the next league game and if we don't have a new striker I by then I think he's bordering on professional negligence!

Alefe Santos sends Matt Macey the wrong way from the penalty spot to equalise for Derby, we've got to laugh.

DC's total updated record as manager.
P19 W3 D3 L13 GF17 GA29
He's now had 19 fixtures to make his mark.
Unbelievable record, he HAS to go. No more excuses.

Just to re-iterate.......DC's record to now including results against our illustrious pre season opponents such as Mangotsfield, Gloucester (4 of our goals) and Cribbs Causeway. P18 W3 D3 L12 GF16 GA27 Extrapolating the above, we'd get 31 points this season and score 41 goals. Taking out the Cribbs outlier on goals we'd be on track for 32 league goals this season.

Let's play DC excuse bingo:-
- couldn't bring in the players I wanted - didn't expect pre game rain - some players not fit enough - missing Mildenhall, can't legislate for that and has 'such' an impact - unlucky with bounce of ball
DC - the excuse culture.

Can anyone summarise the record of all of Darryl Clarke's games in charge of Rovers?
Imagine it would look something like:-

If you can make it, any true gashead will be there.
First game will make a massive statement in terms of our support in the conference and atmosphere for away teams to contend with. One of the biggest games in our history.

If we want him, why can we not sign him 'subject to successful completion of medical' when his arm heals?
Yet another player I hadn't heard of at the start of the summer who I'm now desperate for us to sign, funny old game isn't it....

They just said that after the game last night DC outlined that he expected to complete his 7th signing today, haven't seen it anywhere else though.
Apparently we played 5 at the back last night and DC wants it as an option, therefore a CB is definitely required (along with a right winger, right back, creative midfielder and goalscorer)..... Presumably with a another CB in Parkes would cover LB and Lockyer will cover RB?

Haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere, Radio Bristol this morning reported we're expecting to announce a new signing today.

Good news....
Experienced winger Andy Monkhouse signs. A much needed winger and some much needed experience.
