Is that 40/1 to be our Top Conference goalscorer?!

Presumably this is our current first XI.

Despite the summer, nothing's changed, it's blatantly obvious where our deficiencies lie (creating chances) and therefore fixing it shouldn't be too difficult.....

I'm so fed up of all this negative news. I used to look forward to coming on the forum to get an update or even read something exciting. Now it's just doom and gloom (absolutely justifiably) which means I log on a lot less often.
How about we have a thread which only has good news?! A thread you can read to feel a bit more upbeat for us rose tinters.
I'll start:-
1. If we can find a decent right back we should have a very good back 5 next season.
2. Next season will provide a good opportunity for Clarke, Lockyer, Brunt, Parkes and Harrison (!) to continue their development and shine.
3. Apparently the team spirit this season is much improved.
I'll keep the thread updated as and when good news arrives. Hopefully another posting by end of the month....

Crikey that picture is depressing.
Can we have some standards please. If you don't want to wear a suit, give the guy a polo shirt.

I take your point, but respectfully disagree.
As it stands, I feel we have a hugely disenfranchised fan base many of whom have stopped getting involved in forums due to the fragmentation.
We have various supporter meetings going on and it makes it very easy for the BoD to dismiss each group's concerns as 'minority' or 'not organised'.
The solution (in my view) would be 1 independent supporters club with one representative who meets with NH on a monthly basis. This meeting would be preceded by some sort of forum with the members to raise their issues. The Internet forum could be an enabler for this process.
Only when we start to stand together will we be able to hold the BoD to account.
By the way, I am intending on attending next week.

Strikes me that NH should be very grateful we are such a fragmented fan base.
Despite being relatively large in numbers, we're unorganised with various forums, supporters groups etc
If we want to be taken seriously by the BoD we do need to have one voice and one forum in my view, would be a big step forward.

There seems to have been a dramatic change in tack by NH since relegation.
Towards the end of last season we were treated to 'we need to give the fans a team they deserve' and 'unbelievable loyalty and support'. Now we get dismissive statements full of contempt for the supporters.
It really does need to change soon as it's a one way ticket to a broken club going down again.
Why doesn't NH just come out and say 'we apologise for relegation, the supporters deserve so much better, we are backing DC and we need to unite behind him'? It would be a start at least.

According to reports this morning Harrold is expecting to complete a move to Crawley this week.
Whilst appreciating that he took a lot of stick last season, can't help but feel we're swapping players who are capable of League football for relatively standard Conference players.
Hopes of a good season waning.....

Considering the supporter pacifying build up we had before the previous 2 signings, it's worrying that there seems to be radio silence on signings at the moment.
By my maths we still need:-
- Replacement RB for Smudger (safe to assume he's off) - Cover at CB - Cover for FB's - At least 1 creative CM - 2 wingers
So, minimum of 6. Personally I would add in a quality forward but more of a 'want' than 'need'.
DC clearly stated that the last 2 weeks of June would be the busiest weeks, with him hoping to bring in vast majority of the squad then. So far, total of 0 signings......
Starting pre-season training for 14 players is hardly going to make a statement to the players that we mean business this season!
