Don't like the home shirt, the away one is nice. How can you not like the home shirts, standard B&WQs - nothing not to like. Unexciting but at least it's pretty much traditional.

Unpicking the question................... 'expect' or 'want' ? His money or money belonging to well-heeled business contacts. Answer: I want Wael to invest his money in the team. Think DC in his latest Video has ruled that out......... So you keep inaccurately saying. Majority of squad on improved contracts, retaining in particular Tom Lockyer, Lee Brown & Danny Leads with other clubs after them. Signing establish L1 midfielder and one of the best CHs in L2.....so that's no investment in the team?

DC back from honeymoon tomorrow - guess he will decide one way or another very soon. As Langford Gas said negotiations could well be ongoing and waiting for DC to rubber stamp. Who knows....??

So we want to go back to before 19.2.16 do we?
For Gods sake give the guy some slack, he has been a total breath of fresh air. Or do we just like to moan?

His mere presence for Wales makes him just as important as any player in the world to their club/country. He is put in a pedestal often due to the fact that he seems such a pleasant, good natured and genuine lad. Not the skill sets of Ronaldo or Messi but a great great player for his country! Churlish to suggest otherwise.

I had know Ray for about 40 years, not as a close friend but having played cricket with him at Bristol United Banks CC for 3 or 4 years and then playing against him for Old Down CC. BUBCC was his other great sporting love and his support for the club along with the likes of Terry Trollope, Paul Fairman, Mike Pearson, Barry Channon, Chris Lamb, his brother Brian and many others was a privilege to experience as a young player.
Saw Ray often on the terraces, in the WSE and away from home, recall chatting to him briefly in the Three Pigeons at Halifax last season. Often bumped into him by the Pasty hut at the bottom of the WSE or in the toilet at half time. Real Gashead, top guy & big family man but I will always remember him for his commitment and love of Bristol Rovers and Bristol United Banks CC.
Now hope we can finish the job this season for Ray. RIP Gashead! You will be missed.

Or the 1/- (one shilling) transfer into the North Enclosure from the Muller Rd End.
Been a regular for 56 years now - this time is as optimistic as I can ever remember. Hope the Stadium starts soon, in fact I can't wait.
Went out last night with a City fan & even he was tempted to say he thought things were looking up for us!

Damn fine away following for Grimsby for a Friday night. Only just turned on, not sure if they have said how many but I would guess at 250 ish. Clem said away fans numbered 360. excellent for Friday night with match on tv. Strangely despite them having the whole end the commentators said GTFC had sold out their entire allocation. Sounds like FGR up to their old tricks again. Really hope they don't go up! As for Monkhouse and Disley, whilst they combined for the winning goal, their contribution was otherwise not great - as Dis pointed out after he hadn't really got into the game. They are both probably at the right level now considering their age - both great servants to every club they represented, you know exactly what you get. Probably not quite enough for L2 but I wish them both well. Great pros!

If he can't get in the Peterborough side he won't get in those teams. How old is he? Thought he was one of the best on the pitch? To be honest all the Rovers players were better than any Hartlepool player. Man for man none would get in our side!

Amazingly Infantino got the job - a big mate of Blatters. Same Swiss valley, met him for mulled wine at Xmas, no doubt pulling the same dodgy deals. #charade

For all his decent attaching work down the right it didn't make up for his inability to do the tougher part of the game.
His substitute performance away at Macclesfield last season was as bad as any I have ever seen. Gave the ball away, missed tackles didn't cover back - nightmare.
I wish him luck as he is a good lad but would be suprised to see him above Conference level.

If Wael is as good as his word, and I think he will be, we've an awful lot to thank NH for. Agree to a point, but I think NH and the Board also have a lot to thank us fans for really.
After that fateful day against Mansfield, I think the fans of a lot of other Clubs (one in particular springs to mind) would have said enough is enough and just walked away.
The Loyalty and support our fans showed throughout that Season in the Conference was nothing short of amazing given the circumstances.
Mr Al-Qadi has publicly stated that one of the main reasons the Club was such an attractive proposition was because of the 70k (in case the Teds are reading ) we took to Wembley for a non League Final....
All of a sudden those trips to Kidderminster, Woking, Dover etc seem to have been made all the more worthwhile.
UTG
At the time the lads and ladies I go with said we had to get behind them there and then otherwise it could have been the end of our club. As you say the support at places like Gateshead, Macclesfield, Halifax & Dover was almost responsible on its own for our return to the football league .......& now this!

Southampton. Millwall. Cardiff. Arsenal. Sunderland. Forest Green Rovers! West Ham soon. All new grounds, all higher attendances. The atmosphere is largely to do with on the field. Reading have done OK since the excellent Madjeski Stad was built. Anyone remember Elm Park? I do remember Elm Park - a complete sh** hole - even more so The Vetch Field, Swansea - bogs were a danger to life and you got served burgers through a mesh fence. Pubs before the game boarded up & that all to recently as well. The list goes on....

Not just have to have a new stadium - read the Times today - yes the big boys Times - Waed says again a new stadium is vital, it might be 21000 but it might be bigger.
Watch this space but I wouldn't be at all surprised if we get a Wembley of the West!

Guessing!!
These guys are seriously wealthy. They will fund it the best way they see fit.
If they want a return on their football investment - the sooner we start moving up the Leagues the quicker that will happen.
They own 92% of the club, I'm happy to leave that detail to them.

46 yo Accountant with links to both Abdulkader Al Qadi (the father & Chairman of AJIB) and Hani Al Qadi who was at the game Saturday and is Waels older brother and General Manager of AJIB. No doubt the family's trusted English Accountant. Good to have him on Board. Seems like some pretty big hitters being brought to the club! www.checkcompany.co.uk/director/2861386/MR-IAN-LUNN-SCHMIEGELOW

Read that, annoying. However, isn't Watola paid staff anyway? Not like he was just another director. So I imagine its a 'keep him on till the end of the season' job and replace him when his ineptitude is discovered. Sounds like a booted upstairs out of harm's way appointment to me. Someone had to show the new guys around, give then the lowdown, sort out the Bank account signatories and where the cheque books, records, outstanding invoices are. They need a bit of continuity for a while. He will be gone by September! As will anyone else who doesn't step up to the mark pretty quickly.
