Is this a strange coincidence. Colin Sexton was appointed to the Board on 15th September. The new owners say they started talks in September. So the question is, did CS introduce them or is this a coincidence with the dates? Not that it makes any difference. If CS did introduce them, has he received a Finders Fee? Steve Hamer said a close friend had introduced him to BRFC & as he was then actively looking for a club for Mr Al-Qadi. That close friend almost certainly Colin!

What's the views of Jts , gasincider and the other itk's on what our new owners bring to the table compared to what they heard/ thought/ expected the other consortium would? do they still think we missed out? Let's knock this on the head right now. Let's not have a future where the few ITK keep harping on about how good the mystery consortium would have been. I am already watered off with every mention of this so-called consortium. Feck 'em. Move on. Absolutely Nobby - they failed end of! Lets embrace the new regime, they have made a great start & said all the right things. Really this should never happen to BRFC - it's a dream surely - but it has and we should fully support the Al Qadi group as they are now BRFC.

....& to think just 24 hrs ago we were worrying about a £10m debt, Administration and a 12 point deduction.
Funny old game isn't it!
Now we don't know what to spend the cash on first!!
Happy Dayz as DC would say.
What a time to be alive!

A long time ago when Swansea struggled financially but won the 4th Division.
I think we need to let him get stuck in and see how he performs. Sounds like he is close to the owners and is their trusted English football man. Good enough for me at the moment and better than Higgs & Co I hope.

Like the sound of him, very professional first interview. No huge promises but his views on the understated nature of the Owners are very interesting & refreshing.
Welcome to the Gas!

Topper Gas, Montano has played at a League higher so surely is good enough. How many games has he actually been given. The problem is that when he played very well he was given half of the next game and then was back on the subs bench again, then out of the squad completely. Players need a run of games and whatever DC says players get MATCH FITNESS by playing games and not on how they do in training. Wingers are notoriously in and out of games and lacking consistency. They need an early pass and the last thing you want if you are a decent winger is your full back holding the ball for too long and when you do receive a pass from him going into the very space that you should be attacking. Disagree tbh. You can't keep gicing players chances in the hope that they will come good. He's shown bugger all really in his short time here. You have to take your chances when they come like Bodin had to and Gaffney is doing. Precisely PCH showed very little for a guy with a decent reputation at this level. Montano ditto. We won't miss either! Personally much prefer Bodin, Gosling or Leadbitter as a wide man.

To be fair he's usually OK from the spot it's usually inside the 6 yard box where he struggles to hit the target!! So where did his 13 come from? .....& the 20 odd last season..... ?

Im not sure I completely agree with the lack of squad depth comments. We've got 6 very good league 2 defenders with right back and centre back covered. Maybe a back up left back would come in in an ideal world. 4 central midfielders, 3 of which are competitively vying for 2 places and ollie clarke is a competent back up. 3 wingers, 2 of which are decent at this level and montano sounded like he played well yesterday. Maybe one more winger would be ideal. 3 league 2 strikers who will all hit double figures, one of which might bag 20. Lacking a big centre forward but lucas waiting in the wings. Bissett is the only player I dont think has much of a role to play this season. So we've got 19 players all decent or ok at this level imo. Add in a couple of the young lads breaking through like lyttle and malpas and I think we're ok. Only a yeovil style injury crisis would massively damage us and you cant really plan for that. I think get a big lad in in january and fill any key injuries with loanees if required as and when. As for dc, hes a fantastic bloke and a very good manager. Exactly!

Now i dont pretend to be in the know and i am certainly not saying this is a done deal. But!!! Today i was speaking to 1 of my work colleagues who knows and is quite pally with one of the board members. Now he approached said board member about the consortium/takeover and questioned him about it to which the board member in question has muttered that this is something that is legit and also this should have been finalised 6 weeks ago but has been dragging on due to 'negotiations'. I wont be releasing the board members name for obvious reasons but it does seem that something is in the pipeline. Which fits with the original September 2nd date that I was told was significant.....??

Well I am glad we signed Linesey because without any doubt at all we would still be in the Conference if we hadn't! Just an opinion but still think he is one of our most valuable players.
Anyway constant critisism of our own players doesn't really help much.
Nice response too from Jermaine Easter after he scored!

Birmingham based? So it has to be Mike Turl, present owner of Solihull Moors, making a come back? If not what other Brummie has Rovers connections apart from BSS? Why would they need Rovers connections? It's more likely they have none.......but see the potential.

Well, you seem to be one of the ITK posters, so I guess you'd know. Just seems like his arrival must be in some way related. Exactly. Like he's acting as a go-between for someone he's worked with before perhaps. No - that's a definite No!
