I think they have been looking for an opportunity for some time. This could be considered a cheap option and one with considerable additional, potential.

Perhaps we can judge that when they lift their heads from behind their internet stooges? Chances of them being long time Gas? Nil......!

Re Plan C - could it be that NH & Toni the Till don't like the look of the potential investors. Just thinking about what happened at Hereford, Salisbury, Swindon etc & what's going on at Crawley. I guess they have to undertake due diligence on any prospective purchaser!

There are other ways - my Plan C would see major investment into the club & UWE - the potential is there without spending more than Liverpool did on Benteke.
There has to be another option........

If the plan is to sell the Mem and move to an entirely UWE owned stadium (and I don't have a clue what the plan actually is), then we should, as fans, point blank refuse and do whatever we can to stop it. I believe the Plan B is to own 1/3rd of UWE together with UWE and A N Other ...& that would 1/3rd of a downsized UWE would it Jon. ...the ANO being anyone we have had dealings with during the Stadium planning or a new investor??

With Jon the Stripe with this all the way.
I guess we have to see Plan A through to its conclusion just in case an Appeal is successful.
Plan B as described by Jon - would be a short cut to disaster. We need to have an income stream, we need security of tenure, we need ambition.
Plan C - my plan - would see a wealthy investor or Group of Investors buy out NH & invest in the full development of UWE & take the club forwards with the huge potential UWE and investment would unlock. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity that must be grasped. We can but hope that this opportunity might arise and that it would be taken by those in control.

No doubt the first stage of Plan B......however I'm told that Plan C could be more interesting!

Loan keepers are a recipe for disaster UNLESS you actually stand a chance of signing them permanently. I thought we had finally got over this with DC. The big trouble is the length of time you can keep them means you will almost certainly have to keep getting loan ones in. I personally think that if we could have signed Chapman then we should have done. its strange that DC seems to let us know certain things which maybe he shouldn't and then completely keeps us in the dark over other things. Chairmans report has now become the latest dribble that we get from the club and I just don't think about the financial situation cos it don't fill me with any confidence whatsoever. I'm not sure DC is going yo report every move he makes to us - this one isn't anything more than a rumour at the moment. Let's leave it to him, no reason at all to think it's a recipe for disaster, many clubs use the loan system to good effect both on the field & financially. As for Chapman - surely if we can do better......!

....& Wigan have two vastly experienced keepers in Richard O'Donnell and Jussi Jaskalinen. So what's he been doing since May 2013 surely not just playing Academy football? As far as Liverpool's interest weren't they also interested in Hunter? Seems odd to me Chappers is not being retained unless Nicholls is considered better & /or cheaper. If the former he must be v. good. If it is a loan then perhaps it will open the doors to a few more loan deals? Think you will find Wigan have had a massive turnover of players in the last 3/4 months. Nicholls was sub keeper most of last season & the have only just signed JJ so I guess Nicholls falls down the pecking order behind these 2 experienced guys. Seems a bit of a waste of money really but that's their choice.

See Liverpool were linked with him before and Northampton really rated him. Thing which slightly worries me is why the drop down? I perhaps think lack of games plus Wigan's relegation haven't helped Other than that, excellent stuff on paper if it happens. ....& Wigan have two vastly experienced keepers in Richard O'Donnell and Jussi Jaskalinen.

Amazed Tisdale has gone for Will Hoskins. Money is tight at St James Park so I bet it's short term subject to fitness and very much performance related - no play - no pay!

In League 2 success can often be dependent on the quality of the loan players you bring in. Look at Wycombe last year! DC has said the squad will have 2 loaners very soon.
DC has obviously decided Dawson not what he wants so we look elsewhere I guess.

Not sure about clever, he does have a lot of money so I guess he might be clever or could just be smart enough to know that people love to gamble, and most lose ? The original Betfair model was to allow people to gamble with each other and they took a 5% slice of ever win. Very clever and never likely to loose money!
