A quality signing. A fit Nolan walks into most L1 teams, so time will tell if this is an astute signing. What a squad we now have. I only have reservations over our defence but we have the leagues best 2 goalkeepers behind them so that compensates a little.

I don't think signing Loft, Connelly and Anderson makes us useless this window. We're L2 and not going to get our pick every time. I really meant at the death of the window, we always seem to talk up who we're hoping to sign then struggle to sign anyone. Although not sure Connelly and Anderson are ever going to be that great signings, given they are only going to be here for 3 or, hopefully, 4 months maximum. Tbf i get what you're saying especially after last January when Tisdale negligently put his eggs in the Stockley basket and came up woefully short in what we required. The games changed with the prem and champ teams hoovering up all the young talent so I'm glad we're active in trying to get a gem to polish and benefitting at the same time.

I think our business reflects the failure to move on Brown and Pitman. Saying that things can still happen but not to disappointed. We have a decent squad even Brown and Pitman provide experience and cover. I think it just reflects we're useless at signing players in the January window, Barton's clearly been after an experienced CM and a right back and all he's signed his a youngster from Newcastle, who seems to play in the same position as Evans. The chances of Pitman and Brown finding league clubs was always a slim one, given neither seems fully fit. I don't think signing Loft, Connelly and Anderson makes us useless this window. We're L2 and not going to get our pick every time.

Decent signing, really pleased we have addressed the Finlay issue as we are really hampered when he doesn't play. Welcome to the gas Elliot.

Here it is, all 14 minutes of it lol If you want to feel P?!sed off then watch it. If you want to keep your cool, don't watch it. You've been warned. Delusional, egotistical and narcissistic. The most patronizing interview i have ever seen from a Rovers manager. Judging by this interview the whole situation is starting to eat him up. How long before Joey implodes and reverts to type if our poor form continues?

The fact that Barton hasn't been sacked yet is just another key indicator of how poorly the club are ran on the leadership front. The club are reaping what they have sown since Coughlan saw the danger signs and bailed. Abysmal leadership decisions have got us to this point from the President down to the manager. Barton called Garner negligent, but its on his watch that we did not recruit adequately AGAIN!! The question i keep asking myself is could our current side beat the relegated side of 2014? Not a chance atm. Wael is fully invested in Barton and seems almost taken in by him. Barton deserves to be sacked for his record alone, let alone his ridiculous statements that get twisted into a narcissistic philosophy when they get proved to be untrue or lose accuracy. Its a big mess and lets be honest with ourselves as supporters who the hell would want to succeed if Barton was sacked? How can we trust the leadership team to recruit another manager? TBF they all deserve to be sacked, they are completely failing our football club.

much better last night. More pace and energy. Like Anderson from the 2 games I have seen. I was a bit worried about Oldham at times as when they did have the ball, we gave them too much space at times, but a job well done overall. Apart from the win, Pitman was the highlight as a laugh. Looked far from fit and some of the tumbles. Not slagging him off, because When fit he will be better than that, but he was so far off any sort of fitness The pork pie Pele will be just fine!!

Last night was a great insight into this team. First 45 was one of the best halves I've seen at the mem in a long time. We stretched them with our pace and movement and like others have said should have been out of sight at half time. Tbf to Oldham they changed it up at half time with a couple of subs and stopped us playing so high up the pitch. Grant and Finlay were outstanding and gives JB a big headache ahead of Exeter with Coutts available. One thing that stood out was work rate something that was non-existent for a lot of last season also how we closed out the game. Grant was fantastic last night and did the real dirty work that goes un-noticed, he looks a lot stronger and mobile this season. All in all a decent performance and a much needed win, I left the ground last night relieved and thinking just how good this team could be in a few months especially with Clarke, Coutts and maybe a couple more new faces to come in. The re-build was always going to take time to gel and picking up 1-0 wins along the way in the manner we did is more than adequate, it buys time.

The biggest problem is a lack of unity at the club. 1) We have a supporters club that does nothing to unify the support and only seeks to undermine to satisfy its own agenda. 2) We have a passionate owner that can't run a bath. Harsh but only Rovers could clear debts and get relegated. 3) We have a manager that will always divide moral opinion. 4) We have lost a lot of football matches and been extremely poor which in turn has got most supporters at their wits end with the club. 5) We have a leadership team that is not clear in its way forward and constantly firefighting. 6) We play at a football stadium that is way out of date and resembles a mish mash of terraces and stands. Not a problem when the football on the pitch is decent. 7) We have a very ageing fan base that tends to be more cynical. For me the root cause is a lack of unity. How does lack of unity lead to the owner allowing GC to leave then replacing him with a rookie manager, who had completely different ideas of how the game should be played, then repeating that again with JB? Perhaps GC left because of the absolute mess he could see about to unfold with cut backs and boardroom split (lack of unity)

The biggest win for me today is the confidence and momentum gained from the manner of the win. Players go into the Mansfield game on a high. Great to be back at the mem after so long. We got opened up easily but were resilient and showed good fitness levels. Thought Oxford were very organised and looked impressive. We however are a squad that has been dismantled again and it looked like it. Will take time to gel. Players who impressed me were Thomas, Hoole and Pitman. I don’t like to be gung-ho but a forward attack of Thomas, Nicholson and Pitman should tear up L2 imo.

Thing is even if they do retract or alter their statement now, it's too late. The damage is already done. Absolutely incompetent no hopers. Total embarrassment. Agree but the longer it stays out there the more harm it does.

Gasheads Against Domestic Violence
I've set up a fundraiser for Refuge here, this isn't siding with any side but is a solidarity campaign to show Gasheads are against domestic violence. Every pound helps.
UTG This is fantastic. Make sure when the fundraiser ends you present Refuge with a big cheque on the pitch at halftime. I'm sure the club will be more than accommodating!!!

An absolutely appalling statement. The club need to retract this statement. How can a so called community club use the wording they have? I'm so angry at the leadership at our club, how can they be so insensitive to people that are currently experiencing domestic abuse. Never felt so distant from my club.

Disappointed to see him leave. Really a victim of poor recruitment around him as he really needed a season to adjust and learn. Was hoping he would go out on loan and remain our player. Good luck Jonah cant fault your effort unlike some.

Embarrassed at the state of my club. Gave Joey the benefit of the doubt and now this! He’s been given free reign to dismantle the squad bring in his players and staff. If he has hit his wife then he’s no manager of mine. Again it’s probable that our leadership team have recruited wrongly again!! When does it stop ffs!
