He's going to be a top player, he's playing in one of the worst teams in L1 defensively that doesn't help. He's made mistakes but that's what he's here for.

Really would like to see things settle down for next season. We seem to be stuck in a cycle of working in crisis mode when it comes to recruitment. I know JB sees value at the end of the window but it puts us so behind in terms of gelling the matchday squad. We should be in better shape 23/24 in terms of budget as JB stated in this Januarys window that there was no point spending next seasons budget trying for 1 playoff spot. I kind of bought into this, and Januarys window has reaped us 6 wins in all comps this year. In JBs words 'going with kids' hasn't particularly worked. Developing youngsters is fine but they are here to make mistakes and suffer all the inconsistences that goes with age.
Would like to see Gibson and Ward re-signed for next season and possibly Bogarde back on loan for his age he is brave as a lion on the ball. Ward could cost some dosh as he will have some others in for him no doubt. Looking at the teams at the top they have experience and know-how thought-out the squad one thing we are lacking. Would like to see an experienced defender of proven L1 quality bought in as a priority, we have shipped way to many goals to be any where near top 6.
Some players need to do better, some need to leave and others have done well and not always appreciated maybe man management, with the right additions we aren't a million miles off!

Pretty underwhelming, would of liked us to get the experienced CB in. I think barring a miracle we have conceded that the top 6 is pretty unachievable given the competition. Looks like another re-build in the summer. Sooner we get to a safe points total the better.

Wouldn't want to lose him as he is pretty unreplaceable. Business head on his stock will probably never be higher than it is at the moment. If we got 3 million for him then selling is right for the club.

The suggestions, on here, are 4 or 5 new players in, so who's being dropped? Have we replaced Taylor, Nicholson or Anderson? Evans needs cover. Is Kilgour good enough for L1? Is Loft good enough for L1? Anderson needs cover. Our pressing first contact style of play will mean suspensions and red cards especially in the center of the park. We have a first team coach getting more minutes than he probably wants. for me its not a question of who's getting dropped its a question of who's having a rest. Like i said previously just hope we bring in quality and not just body's to fill up the squad places.

Watched on ifollow. To many players not at it for various reasons mainly Barnsley completely outplaying us for most of the game. Cant fault the players for effort just got to accept they were better and we will get better with quality additions. Joey would have learnt a lot about his squad tonight and its probably a good good kick up the backside for the whole squad. No sending offs a positive and hopefully a couple in by Saturday. Thought Luke Thomas was decent winning a lot of first contacts and finding pockets that stretched the play, would love him back but that ship has probably sailed. Starting to think we need a tank of a CB that can be dominant in the air we look fragile in the air from set pieces and long balls. I cant be to negative we are clearly lacking bodies and still finding our way in the division. Get in 1 x big CB 2 x Winger 1 x CAM and maybe another striker and things will start to be a little easier for JB. I would have took 6 points from 4 at the start of the season given how slow we have been in the transfer window. Really hopeful that we can get in some quality rather than players just to fill up squad places.

Apparently we still have an issue with the use of snus tobacco within the squad. JB has made his thoughts quite open about its use. Maybe his comments after the match at certain players go further than 1 performance.

Very impressive workout that, it was hard to tell who was the championship side. We looked solid, fit and hungry. Five or six quality additions as being spoke about by JB and I truly believe we'll be competitive in L1.

Fair play Roverdrive, JB will always be a divisive character. I'm not a fan of JBs dark side but really appreciate the work he and his team have done to turn things around. After relegation at a whimper and a really poor start anyone was justified to question whether JB was the man to turn things around. Now we have momentum, an energized fan base and a squad to be proud of. UTFG

His performance alone last night was worth the entrance fee. Not seen anything like it in a Rovers shirt since another Billy.

For me Dennis Bailey, Rory Gaffney, Connor Taylor and Elliot Anderson. Anderson is the best quality loan I think we've ever made.

I think he plays better when we are winning. Loses pocession in some dodgy places when we are not winning. Tbf i think most players do.

Uncle Coutts with another sublime performance last night. Shielded our back four and broke up play very well against quite a tricky Colchester side.

Captain, Leader and model professional.
Had a poor start due to a covid ravaged pre season which started with red card at Mansfield. For me he is the glue that keeps our team together and does the dirty work not always appreciated. Without his partnership with Finlay we are not as affective in controlling the midfield which in turn allows our flair players in Evans, E. Anderson and Collins to affect games.
He reminds me of Mansell's influence in L2 in many ways looking back to that successful season, his partnership with Lines was instrumental in getting us automatic promotion. I think Coutts and Finlay have that similar partnership. Evidently the younger players are looking up to him and his standards and influence have acquired him the name of 'Uncle' in the dressing room.
Posting this before a game is a risk I know but I'm posting this on evidence so far, Coutts for me is our best piano carrier and you need plenty of them in L2. UTG.

If we have aspirations to push for the playoffs then a win tonight would ease the pressure of playing Mansfield Saturday. Draw or lose tonight Mansfield is a must win. Fancy a 2-1 win tonight if we play well. Would like to see Finlay back in as he gets us on the front foot and creates space for Evans. Would also give Harvey Saunders a start as he looks fired up with a point to prove, would rest Collins for Saturday and use him as an impact sub tonight.

Cambridge away 1992. Me and my best mate both 18yrs old decided it was a good idea to drive up on a Friday afternoon in a clapped out ford escort. We started off with a puncture on the A46 after that the traffic on the M4 M25 was awful. We left at 1pm and finally got to the Abbey stadium at 7pm so a nice 6 hour trip sat mostly on the M25. We were in the open end behind the goal where it didn't stop raining the whole game. I think we went 1-0 nil down but levelled before half time. The second half was an absolute slaughter and completely miserable conceding another 5. So after a 6-1 loss soaking wet we headed back to the car, we hadn't got out of Cambridge when the car broke down. We got back to Bath via the AA at 5am on the Saturday morning.
