Disappointing if he was to leave, I think he has genuine quality. It must be demoralizing for him to get near to elite fitness levels only for his body break down. I hope he can break this cycle and become the professional footballer he has shown glimpses of. Some of the comments he gets on here and social media are awful. He was quite engaging on social media at first now seems scarred. If you read this Josh some of us understand the struggles you get in life no matter what job you undertake. If your future is away from Rovers then the best of luck.

Stendel used to be a striker and had a few prolific seasons. He could help our current strikeforce. Not sure we have had a foreign coach so his approach could be a bit different and maybe a refreshing change of leadership?

Watched every match and Measure serms like he is somewhere else, haven't ever seen him shouting instructions or even talking to the manager I might be being harsh but that s how I see it. I m going to predict that if wael has the b@##% to appoint him, he will be poached by Burnley when Dyche goes. Or he'll be dismissed when he's sent down, given the trial keeps getting postponed due to COVID I assume the CPS must be confident of getting a conviction or they'd drop the charges. Surprisingly it looks like the BoD are seriously considering Barton as our manager: www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/bristol-rovers-joey-barton-motherwell-5007632I suspect JB will do what most rich people do, pay big money on a defence lawyer.

I’ve listened to a couple of pods involving JB and I must say what he has said is fairly impressive. I’ve always wanted a manager with L1 experience as Tisdale’s replacement so he ticks that box. I don’t think money is his motivation he’s worth over 5m. His main driver is to prove people wrong. His ambition and hunger is evident as well. I not a fan of his but if he comes in and keeps us up and injects a bit of much needed mongrel into the side he’ll win me over 100%. This should be about the football I will be livid if a few keyboard warriors stop wael appointing joseph, and we get relegated. He paid some of the Fleetwood players wages himself, it's a no brainer in football terms. The Burnley and Gas fan posted an interesting post, most clubs love him when he is trying so hard. He knows all our opponents and will get us well drilled, have Manse in as good cop alongside him. Barton will want his own team I suspect. I reckon Measure will exit making way for Clint Hill.

Im not an advocate of JB but if you take his character out of the equation, you have a current battled scared (pun) L1 manager who knows how every L1 team sets up strengths and weaknesses included. He knows how to set up, he knows our squad and how to beat us convincingly. His teams play ok football and aren't soft touches who are well versed to using the dark arts needed in a relegation fight. Give him six months (pun) because no other manager that isn't slightly mad would want to go near us at the moment we're a basket case!!

Wow what a mess, it was clear Tisdale couldn't get a tune out of this bunch. Well done to Wael for financially supporting this move. Now lets get a proven L1 manager and get out of this mess!!

Its looking like Torquay away next season. Our current identity is perennial strugglers who lose lots of money season on season. We are trying to achieve sustainability by creating our own assets i.e training ground and young players. The way forward is to win football matches and survive this season in L1 in the short term.

I didn't approve how he got the job. No one else was interviewed and no process applied. I was pro due to his experience but it seems his skills are more long term than putting out the big fire first that BG left. It seemed he fitted into the old boys club upstairs. Personally I would give him Fleetwood on Saturday to get a result of some sort. If he's fired his record supports it worse than BG this season. I want all managers to succeed but I've never seen our players show so little passion and fight as last night. Our DNA should always be that of fight, doggedness and effort that's the Bristol Rovers I know and love. I personally think there's to many fat cats at the top table not under enough scrutiny. What "fat cats" there's only Starnes and Widdrington plus Gorringe, not sure you can put a CEO under scrutiny but given he's in his late 60's I assume he'll be considering retiring soon anyway. Anyway where's this suggestion Tisdale is Starnes mate come from, as they don't appear to have worked together in the past? Topper I haven't suggested Tisdale is Starnes's mate just intimated that he fits in well at the cosy club. Off course you can put a CEO under scrutiny at any age, the leader of the free world is in his late 70's ffs! Do you really think Wael would light a fire under Starnes, Widdrington and Gorringe for not performing in their role? From the outside it appears you get elevated into a higher position regardless of performance as long as your a friendly face or suit the presidential agenda!

Last nights performance was a failed project trying to be nursed along. Far to open with players being outplayed by their opponents. So its back to basics which I guess is playing for clean sheets. I was upset at the lack of fight, that performance was not what we expect from our team. I cant believe a player didn't front up last night and apologise to the supporters very poor.

Not worried by the result more the performance by players on the fringe of the squad. For me this season will not be remembered for what we do in the cups, its purely about surviving in L1 and trying to get the club stabilized after Garners failed project.

Welcome back Abs. He will be like a new signing and certainly has a part to play. Against sides that dominate possession he will excel, and given we are in a relegation scrap what a player to have back in the trenches. Forget about pretty football all the time sometimes you just got to go toe to toe and win ugly. Garner had a philosophy that Abs didn't fit into and was harshly treated IMO.

Not to disappointed with the performance. Thought Orient played well on the night and caused us problems in behind on the flanks. Biggest takeaway for me last night was we did what was crying out to be achieved, that was winning ugly. We didn't play particularly well but we held our shape, ground out a win and showed good mentality to win the game and put another 20K in the bank by winning.

Given our record at home in cups in recent years this was a great result! Remember the likes of Chesham, Barrow and Bath City to name a few. For me this was a massive banana skin given our current form. Once the game settled down we took them apart it wasn’t perfection but we looked a little more streetwise under PT. His post match comments were interesting. It’s obvious that BG had a plan but couldn’t execute it on match days when things needed changing tactically or decisions went against us and a change system to play higher up the field were needed. I like what PT said about the first goal being our best. It came from creating uncertainty by being more direct and having a striker capable of exploiting the mistake. Up till then we struggled and an upset looked probable. Overall a great result for the team, manager and support. No reason why we can’t go into Wednesday with a bit of confidence, and a more business like game plan!

Welcome to the gas Paul!! I believe we have found an ambitious experienced manager that is project based. He lives locally so already settled and ready to go. Well done to the club for acting quickly, all done in 5 days! Now lets beat those roundabout loving inbreds!!

Can’t believe some of the negative comments regarding Tisdale. Yes there are questions over his suitability and where his ceiling is as a manager, but unless he is given a chance how will we know? I suggest if you have time listen to both of his EFL podcasts, they give a good insight into his methodology and thoughts on the game. Recruiting in any field is a can of worms and I’m sure our Director of football / Head of Recruitment TW is hoping we get this one right. If Tisdale is the new gaffa then he inherits a good squad of players that just need a leader that can influence results and match day scenarios something BG lacked IMO. He gets my full support like any new manager deserves. The game is changing in the lower divisions money is harder to come buy with FA cup games going straight to pens no replays etc. Sustained survival and cash flow needs to come from playing a decent brand of football with assets in the team to sell on. I applaud our model as it shows we have a vision finally. Whether it’s Tisdale or not, the big picture in the current climate is surviving and supporting the club however you can.
