Can we just remember that McGhee played Lund at RB and Smith at CDM.. No, I've repressed it.

Couldn't disagree with this any more than I do. He was the only footballer in our squad last season. If he had played every game he was available for up front we would have finished mid table. Now that is talking nonsense, to be that succesful he would have to score 10 to 15 goals and he never really looked like scoring that many. Is best spell at Rovers as when MM played him in midfeild! Clarkson would have easily scored 10 goals if he'd been played up front all season, I actually reckon he'd have got around 20. You're right that Clarkson played well in midfield under McGhee, but bloody O'Toole was played in midfield and did a very good job for the majority of the season in fairness. Clarkson should have played up top!

I'm not suggesting he wasn't the best 'footballer'. Im saying he was slow and unfit. Not sure how anyone could disagree, but fair enough. Well he certainly wasn't quick, that's not what I'm saying, but some of the best players in this league, or the premier league, or even ever, aren't/weren't especially quick. In terms of fitness I always thought Clarkson looked less fit than he was if that makes any sense.. He sometimes looked knackered after about twenty minutes but quite often he'd be one of the only ones still able to run an anything like normal pace after 85 minutes.

Slow, created little and blowing out of his arse after 60 mins. Don't understand the Clarkson love in. Couldn't disagree with this any more than I do. He was the only footballer in our squad last season. If he had played every game he was available for up front we would have finished mid table.

Did you wave your red card? I wonder how people thought it went, after all the fuss beforehand. I held mine up dutifully. I noticed plenty of fans not bothering, but I guess that's life. The overall effect was powerful, I thought, with consistent red cover around the ground. They should've been blue not red Show Racism the Blue Card - Love it

I think the reason for the two sets of highlights is the same so not really a case of buses coming along at once.. Had the conference not allowed highlights to be shown today we wouldn't have had either.

Friend of mine bought me a set of those Rovers Russian Dolls when she was in Prague! Apparently they had ones for every single football league club. I couldn't believe it, I think mine were Virgo, Wayne Brown, Anyinsah, Harrold, and might have been one more... This obviously being a couple of years ago.

Great, thanks for a quick response guys, haven't really seen him play except when he come on as sub against Mansfield (?) but I've heard promising things.

Is he still contracted to us? Sorry if that's a stupid question.

Some absolute nonsense always was written about Clarkson - one of the only bits of quality we've had in years. If he'd played every game he was available for up front last season we wouldn't have gone down.
