Looking at it objectively, I'd probably be more concerned if Ellis didn't want a move. Didn't Darrell/the club put him on the transfer list at the beginning of the year? And now despite his goals and performances off the bench he still hasn't been given a proper chance to start games. In addition he still gets a load of sh*t off some fans and I doubt he's even on a huge wage. Adapt this scenario to any job and the subject probably wouldn't be that eager to continue after contract expiry. It's a short career and I would imagine Ellis is fed up waiting for a chance here when there's a few league clubs who'd probably give him more of a look-in on more money. Even if the Instagram post should be taken at face value (a big if) I think it's understandable.

I'm saying you might have used an apostrophe to indicate that "typos" was a plural because you didn't understand apostrophes. I was incorrect because you clearly do, don't really understand why we're still talking about it. I think this thread should be renamed Apostrophe-gate. Oh bum, is that hyphen right? Love it!

Maybe you don't understand apostrophes? Such a ridiculous argument I was only joking anyway haha You're saying I used an apostrophe correctly coz I don't understand apostrophes? I'm saying you might have used an apostrophe to indicate that "typos" was a plural because you didn't understand apostrophes. I was incorrect because you clearly do, don't really understand why we're still talking about it.

It is indeed, but it seems unlikely that he used the apostrophe because of this. Why do you think I used it, then? Maybe you don't understand apostrophes? Such a ridiculous argument I was only joking anyway haha

"Typos" shouldn't have an apostrophe. Are we sure? Isn't 'typo' a contraction of 'typographical error'? It is indeed, but it seems unlikely that he used the apostrophe because of this.

Strikes me you were trying to criticise the club again. The Conference is a League, as is the Premiership or Championship. Still the other forum has gone into overdrive moaning because students over 21 can't get cheap season tickets, so your moan is relatively low-key. My ST will only be £125 - some advantages being an old git! No, I'm not that interested in criticising the club. I almost never criticise the club. I'm interested in pointing out minor pedantic typo's to fellow pedants, though. The Conference is a league. It's not a League. Were it called the Vananannanarmama League, it would be a league, and also you could refer to it as, say, 'the League.' Anyway, this is, as you agree, such a minor thing, not sure why you're bothering to play self-appointed Minister of Truth over it. Honestly, we're in the Conference and losing money. If I was really of a mind to criticise the club on here, and let's face it, they deserve enough criticism, I wouldn't be arsing about with trivial typo's. "Typos" shouldn't have an apostrophe.

What a load of b0llocks. A real shame because I thought we had taken positive steps away from this kind of nonsense this season. Clearly just as we go top of the league and there's nothing to moan about on the pitch people start itching to have a dig off it, which is very sad really.

Not quite there yet; 'Doug is someone the board has known for some time' Should be have known! Actually I think it's correct. Bristol Rovers (plural) have known, the board (singular) has known. "Bristol Rovers Football Club" is actually also a singular entity. The club statement is definitely correct.

The point of this thread is to get an overview of the opinions of everybody who was at the game though. If Tbone thinks that MT has had a bad game I'm interested to hear his viewpoint. For example I really don't rate Leadbitter when I've seen him but I don't demand that everybody who gives him a high score should have their opinion disqualified. Nor do I but do you seriously believe 2 was a fair unbiased rating based on that one game? Probably not and I can understand where you're coming from, I just feel like it's moving into dangerous territory.

Spreadsheet complete and a good set of stats this week. Adam Dawson is the Man of the Match for the Lincoln game, becoming the 14th player to win an award this season. Like Della Verde he scored a MotM award in his first start for the club after one previous substitute appearance. Tom Lockyer is averaging more in CM than Ollie Clarke has this season, 5.2 to 5.1. (albeit only two games to judge this) Lincoln were judged to be the second worst team to visit the Mem this season. Their score of 3.9 was only better than Telford (3.6). Matty Taylor scored both a 2 and a 9, probably the biggest range of scores for one player in a match this season. Mildenhall 5.9 Leadbitter 6.5 McChrystal 7.5 Parkes 7.5 Brown 7.0 Dawson 7.9Mansell 6.1 Lockyer 5.9 Monkhouse 5.8 Taylor 6.8 Blissett 5.5 DC 6.9 Ref 5.4 Lincoln 3.9 Thanks to everyone who provides opinions on the game. I would respectfully suggest that if 1 poster is intent on ruining this thread with ridiculously low scores against a player he has a problem with (regardless of performance) then you might consider ignoring the highest and lowest score to get a better average for that player. Otherwise I will just score MT a 10 every week to compensate.

Jesus Christ, if you don't like the thread don't bloody read it. You obviously didn't see the original headline before it was changed. I didn't, but it makes no difference. If he had explained why he didn't like the the thread title and felt that should be changed (as I believe you did?) then fine. Just immensely irritating when people go telling tales to the mods "remove this thread because I personally don't like it and thus feel that nobody should be allowed to see it".

If we could take him on a deal where he genuinely got no money at all unless he played I'd take him like a shot, guess that's very unlikely though.

The whole Kenneth situation was just bizarre, he looked immense on his debut and I couldn't believe we'd signed a player of that quality. Obviously I was right haha

I'm a little embarrassed and ashamed that this thread has turned this way when it was, after all, supposed to be a way of recognising and appreciating fellow Rovers fans. I see no need for people to have to justify a nomination nor to down play or bemoan another persons nomination. This was supposed to be a celebration and thanks to fans who have done something more than just turned up every other Saturday wasn't it? Very sad. Have you not done exactly the same yourself by putting you and the another "nominees" on a pedestal above those who "just turn up every other Saturday"? Not everybody has disposable time or money enough to set up forums or buy corporate meals and entertainment, are they unworthy Hugo?

Can't understand why people constantly say things like this at all. Well because I would. It would show him what it means to a PROFESSIONAL footballer to play football and give everything every game. Nah I agreed with the first half of your post mate, I just feel that as bad as his attitude was John-Joe remains a class above anything we have at the club in terms of technical ability (haven't yet seen LDV) unfortunately. Much as I love Sinclair's attitude I'm not sure he'd look all that much up against JJ in league two.
