DC is making some very big mistakes and the team look awful. If things dont improve quickly he will be out the door. I've noticed a certain arrogance from him recently that doesn't sit well with me. He has to be professional with everyone at all times. Judging from Wael's press conferences I'd imagine that politeness and good mnners are important to him. I think DC will do well to bear that in mind.

Although we are only 2 points off the way we are playing we will be lucky scrape the 7th spot but at the end of the day we were in the Conference this time a year ago so although we may miss out a top ten finish would still be one hell of an achievement !!! But we sounded like we outplayed Wycombe for most of the second half and if the refs decisions had gone our way/our defence had stayed awake for 90 mins we could have won and would now be 5th. We also now have 6 consecutive games where we will start as favourites to win, perhaps we need to bring in a player or two to give everybody a lift?

Bizarre team selection by DC but we might have got away with it if we could score. I just think thatvwe have so few goals inbthe team that we'll struggle to reach the play-offs and if we do reach them we don't seem vapable of scoring against the better teams. Now if Wael could fund a couple of decent strikers and a winger or two.........

I really can't see us looking for another site unless UWE has moved the goal posts. Can you imagine how long it would take to obtain planning permission at a different location! Time will tell.

If Wael is as good as his word, and I think he will be, we've an awful lot to thank NH for.

As i wrote last night, Gaffney looks like the only striker capable of scoring. Without greater goal threat I don't think we can expect success this year. If I were DC I'd be aiming at getting 2 strikers in.

I hope Taylor can regain some form because at the momeny Gaffney looks like the only striker likely to score. Quite honestly, if we want a decent chance of promotion this year, we ought to look at bringing 2 striker in on loan till the end of the season. Otherwise a lack of goals will come back and bite us on the a**e!

You can play 5 loan players at any one time and the maximum loan period for an emergency loan is 93 days. I'm sure DC knows where the weakness is in the team and won't have any problem identifying targets if the money is available. I want out of this division asap. 5 quality players would help the team out immensely and would give us real strength in depth. Let's see what happens but we are in a good position in the league and for a relatively small outlay by Wael our chances of promotion would be much improved.

I don't think it's that difficult. DC has presumably got funds to add 3 players to his squad. It's now his choice and I'd be surprised if he didn't have more money to spend than he had previously. If he can't do that we're in trouble.

Hard to say really. What can we realistically expect to bring in with the new owners? What constraints do we have? So many factors and questions unanswered, which obviously they will be as its barely been 24 hours since the news was broken.. I know this thread is about the run-in, I dont want to keep starting new threads, just wondering what happens after this season? At the moment we've got a team full of grafters with dare I say it, not a huge amount of quality. With the new owners, how much investment can we expect in the playing side? It concerns me I have to be honest. We don't have an inkling. DC has got one hell of a job to manage it all starting with the run-in. I guess we'll see in this loan window, an indication of the owner's intentions! It can go a few ways (long term), do a man city and throw the kitchen sink at it within whatever FFP rules there are if they apply, keep what we've got and add to it, or have a semi clear out and build half a new team. We obviously dont want a team of mercenaries, not sustainable and is often the road to ruin, but equally if we've got an opportunity to really push on with significant investment in the team, are our current squad good enough? Has DC ever managed a club with money....I fear not? My heads in a bit of a mess thinking about it, I fully understand why DC seemed a bit stressed by it all on 20man post match...

I'd go for a striker, winger (left or right) and a creative cm. If they were all at least 1st div standard we'd be in with a good chance of at least the play offs.

Anybody notice that Morecambe's kit is remarkably similar to that of the black arabs.

I see from pictures on here that Wael came into supporters' club bar today. Did he say anything of interesting? I know it's unlikely but i couldn't get to the ground today so missed my 'fix'

It would be very good if we could bring in 2 or 3 quality players. This season is far from over and the right players at this stage could make all the difference. I'm not sure of the rules but does anyone know how many players we could bring in and how long their loans could be for?

Stevek said it had he saw it. Isn't that fair enough? I was at the game yesterday and felt that DC picked the wrong team and formation too. The team is the best we've had in years and i think DC is doing a great job but he isn't and should never be above criticism.

What's Barry's favourite memory of playing for the gas and how did he find being managed by Ollie?
