Whilst talking about signing on fees it's worth noting that all our existing squad who accept the new contract offers, will also get a signing on fee. Apparently that's how it works!

Therovers, i agree with you. Before Taylor the last great striker we has was Lambert and we had many years playing with little goal threat after he left us. I think people forget quite quickly what it is like when you haven't got a good striker in the team. It changes nearly everything about the match day experience and you lose much more regularly. Decent strikers are very hard to find and dont come cheap. With money anyone is replaceable but how much will we really have next year?

Accrington deserve huge credit for what they have done this season with the smallest budget in the football league. If they beat us to automatic promotion then they will have deserved it and good luck to them.

Stevenage drawing nil - nil with Wimbledon so it's possible they could spoil it for Acrington!

I agree that it's a nonsense story but it will be interesting to see if Wael's 'former' support of Chelsea will result in any Chelsea players finding their way here.

Thanks for the review Steve. I always look forward to reading it as I cant get to as many games as I'd like. I also have really enjoyed the previews you have recently started writing. Keep up the good work.

He hasn't really set the world alight at Eastleigh. I have a feeling our owners will have their sights set a fair bit higher this summer.

Yes, Hartlepool will have a big say in where we end up this season. I am very glad they are in pretty good form and fingers crossed their performance level doesn't drop with the call of the beach and the 3 Ss.

I hope he is going to stay and a new contract is in the pipeline. If he walks away for nothing we will have made a huge mistake. Hindsight is a wonderful thing! Most of us were saying the way DC has gone about restructuring the way we dish out contracts is a good thing. Who's to say if Taylor had signed a 3 year contract in the summer, he would he have been so hungry this season, with no contract to play for? If he's goes on a free in the summer then so be it, I'm just glad the days of throwing around 3 year contracts on silly money is over. I know what you mean but perhaps it might have been sensible to extend his contract earlier in the season when it was clear he could cut the mustard at this level. I do hope he stays and things are going on in the background but if he does walk away for nothing we will have made a huge mistake. Finding a great goal scorer is not easy and i think we sometimes take them for granted when we have them but think back a few years when we had zero goal threat and struggled every year. It was painful and boring to watch. I really hope he has a contract lined up to sign with us!

That's a real blow for plymouth. Portsmouth are picking up well. 6 to go. There will be plenty of twists and turns but our destiny is in our own hands.

I'm actually feeling quite optimistic about today's result. Carlisle's recent form is pretty mediocre and we're flying. If we were outsiders looking in we'd probably think an away win is on the cards. I think the experience of last year's run-in will stand us in good sted this time around too. I'm going for Rovers to win 2 nil.

I thought SH has already stated that development of the mem is a non starter. All the noises from BRFC are about UWE. No doubt it will look different to the original scheme but reading between the lines that will be a good thing because as a result there will be increased revenue streams.
